Dark Tower inspired project
I just finished reading the Dark Tower series by Stephen King (it's amazing!) and need some advice on my piece in progress. The cursive backstitch piece was my first attempt at lettering and the satin stitch is my second. The satin stitch took so long! I am pretty happy with how it turned out. Lettering is so hard!
Originally, I wanted to re-create a drawstring bag one of the characters in the series finds. Now that I've finished the embroidery, I am a little nervous to make the drawstring bag and I'm wondering if I should pivot and try to do something else with it. I've made a few things with my sewing machine but am by no means a pro.
The whole piece of fabric measures 17.5" long and is 7.5" wide. The margin around the widest part of the lettering is about 0.75". Should I attempt the drawstring bag or go in another direction?
