Want software branches only.
Basically the title...
Want software branches only. Don't want to study core or circuitals. Priorities are GATE and higher studies, not placement.
Am joining a state government college for B.Tech. in CS.
Curious about the scope of CS grads in CES or related Biology labs or departments within IISc. Do professors routinely accept CS grads into Biology departments for iPhD or PhD programs?
From what I have researched online, skills like R, Python and GIS are necessary, but I would appreciate advice from someone who is actually working in these labs or departments.
Since, I will be majoring in CS, not Biology or a related degree, what skills do I need to teach myself?
If you are currently in CES or a department related to research in Biology, I would like to ask some questions.
What was your UG and where you did it?
Did you do any kind of research project or internship whilst in UG?
Through which channel did you get into IISc? I'm planning to appear for GATE EY and JGEEBILS.
Any piece of advice?
Thanks!
Don't want to go for private colleges.
CSE/AI are sure shot options at RKMGEC, CGEC and AGEMC.
Might get IT at GCETTS and CSE/IT at GCETTB. But won't get CSE at GCETTS or CSE/IT streams at GCECT or GCELT.
Civil Engineering at JGEC is borderline.
Priority is GATE, not corporate placements immediately after B.Tech.
Currently fixated on IT at GCETTS. Or should I keep Civil Engineering at JGEC above IT at GCETTS?
