Is Buying Demo/Display unit Macbook is Good?
I’m planning to buy a MacBook M4 display/demo unit from a local store at around 40K cheaper than retail price. The condition looks almost brand new and they said it has been reset completely, but they are not providing an invoice/bill or any official warranty.
I’ll be checking:
Serial number on Apple coverage website
Battery cycle count
Activation Lock
Remote Management/MDM
Fresh setup screen after reset
If everything checks out and I’m able to log in with my own Apple ID normally, is it still safe to buy?
Has anyone here bought a demo/display MacBook before? How was your experience long term? Also, are there any hidden risks I should know about before purchasing?
