My two kids (12 and 10) love reading. Over the past few years they’ve read quite some books, and we recently created a website where they post reviews and recommendations for books they’ve actually read.
The challenge is that almost nobody knows the site exists yet.
I’m considering having my 10-year-old record short videos talking about books she loves. She’s naturally funny, speaks in a way kids her age relate to, and genuinely enjoys discussing books. I would handle all filming, editing, posting, and account management on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. She doesn’t have a phone and only has limited access to YouTube.
For parents who have done something similar, would you encourage this? Any concerns or lessons learned about having kids create content online?
I’d love to hear both the pros and cons before moving forward.

I have 12 year old son and 10 year old daughter. My son is all into history books and my daughter is all in Percy Jackson. They both love reading. What should I do/don’t do as a parent so they don’t loose their love to the books?
I believe that the best alternative to screen time is a book. But how do you raise a kid who chooses a book over a screen?
**How do you feel about letting a 5- or 6-year-old read only comics?**
My daughter’s teacher doesn’t like the idea of letting kids to read comics. I’m not sure if that’s good or not
