Questions about Hisense HLAW0825TW

I just got installed the Hisense HLAW0825TW. It's working pretty well so far but I have a couple questions:

  • Is the quiet mode just a lower fan speed? Or is there something else different about it? Is it less effective at cooling?
  • I know these units have a risk of mold. I've heard one way to prevent that is to keep it always running either AC or fan, or run the fan for a while after the AC before turning it off. I currently have it running on AC/cool, and sometimes it just stops for a while and isn't blowing out air at all (it's still turned on because the lights are on). I thought inverter ACs weren't supposed to do that. Is there a way to make it switch between cool and fan mode without stopping completely

Looking for noise canceling earbuds with a couple specific preferences

Budget and location - up to $300, USA

Source/Amp - Ideally wireless/bluetooth, connected to phone or computer

How the gear will be used - My main goal is to block background noise, ideally even without listening to music (just having the noise canceling on)

Preferred tonal balance - No preference

Preferred music genres - Main purpose is to use them for noise canceling without music

Past gear experience - I currently have a pair of Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700, I like the sound quality but they cause jaw pain if I wear them for more than an hour

Anything else? - A couple of preferences on the form factor:

Earbuds tend to fall out of my ears easily, so I'd prefer something with a piece that goes behind the ear to stabilize it or something like this.

Because they're constantly falling out of my ears, I have to adjust them a lot, which has been frustrating with touch controls in the past. It was constantly pausing, adjusting volume, etc. when I didn't want to. So I'd prefer something without hardware buttons instead of touch controls or else touch controls that are sensitive enough to not get triggered by my needing to adjust the earbuds in my ears.

I don't like the feel of the flexible rubber/silicone tips, so I'd prefer something with hard plastic tips.

I'm not sure if what I'm looking for even exists, but I'd be grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction!

Probably a silly question but...how portable are portable ACs?

Would it be practical to move it from room to room at different times of the day? (Like I said, probably a silly question, please don't roast me.)

Background: I'm having trouble finding window units that'll work with the windows in my apartment, so I'm considering a portable unit, but I see they're quite a bit more expensive, so I'm wondering if it's possible to only buy one and use it in the living room during the day and the bedroom at night.

Edit: Thanks for confirming that this isn't a good idea. I wish someone would make an AC with multiple hoses that you can install in each window where you want to use it (with a cap on the end) and then you'd just have to move the AC itself from window to window.

I have no idea what socks to wear

I love fashion, but for whatever reason, it's always been a complete mystery to me what socks look good with different types of shoes.

I'm wondering most about oxfords (I have two pairs that are kind of funky with chunky/platform soles) and sneakers (low profile like Supergas, although I'd like to get some chunky dad sneakers at some point).

What height (and color) of socks do you think works best for these situations? I know that no-show socks are out (right?) and it seems like crew socks are more trendy, but I have very muscular calves and they tend to get scrunched up around my ankles, which I'm not sure is a good look. And does the answer change depending whether I'm wearing shorts or pants?

For reference, I'm in my 30s and this would be for casual wear (I'm self-employed, so I don't have to be work-appropriate).
