Am I playing it wrong?

I've played three games so far - Sweden, USA, and now France - and I find myself spending a lot of time with the speed on max waiting for construction to finish or a timed journal entry to progress or a war to finish or whatever. I feel like I spend the majority of the game time waiting, and very little actually doing anything. So far I haven't finished a game because by the late 1800s I've finished most of the journal entries and passed all the laws I wanted to LARP with so I don't really have anything to do but watch the line go up. Is this really it, or am I playing wrong?

What's going on with deism in Uruguay?

According to Wikipedia, 30% of Uruguay are deists. This is surprising to me, as I thought deism basically disappeared after the end of the Enlightenment, and I certainly didn't think there were any countries where almost a third of the population are deists. For the Uruguayans here, what's going on with that? Do you know any deists, are you one yourself? Do you have any thoughts on why that might be the case? Alternatively, is it not actually the case and Wikipedia is citing inaccurate information? I'm curious to figure out what's going on there.

Edit: Corrected the statistics, which I originally got wrong.

Would any philosophers have written anything if they lived in the age of the internet?

I'm pretty sure I'm basically as smart as Kant or Nietzsche or Plato or Marx or whatever, but I don't have time to read or write when there are so many videos to watch. Don't you think that if they were in my shoes they'd do the same? They just got lucky enough to be born when the only form of entertainment was thinking about stuff. I could have been a generation defining philosopher too, if there was nothing else to do.

Soft-locked myself out of multiculturalism?

New to the game, just did my first run as Sweden attempting the egalitarian society achievement. I got Karl Marx elected chancellor by huge margins with a parliamentary republic and passed all of the socialist reforms easily, and my GDP, SoL, and budget all shot up. Unfortunately everyone loves the government so much anarchists won't appear, and so I can't seem to get any interest groups on board with multiculturalism. It's literally the only thing I have left to do law-wise before I get the achievement but it's stuck at 0% success. Are there any moves I can make to save me?

If the proletariat is the revolutionary class, how come the intelligentsia has led every revolution?

Lenin was a lawyer, Mao's first ambition was to become a teacher, Che Guevara was a doctor from a wealthy family, Rosa Luxemburg had a doctorate. Perhaps I'm over simplifying but it seems like, generally speaking, the leaders of so called "proletarian" revolutions are not proletarians themselves, but members of the intelligentsia. What's up with that?

Should I do anything?

I live in Amerikkka and the situation is quite bad here, as I'm sure you're aware. Unfortunately there are also no trve and avthentic organizations that are engaging in class struggle, so if I want to do anything at all it'll have to be with a bourgeois social democrat organization. Should I just do nothing until the avthentic revolutionary struggle develops or should I engage in the dreaded activism?

Proposal: Succession (TV Show) mod

I was surprised to find that this didn't already exist, but I suggest someone make a mod based on the presidential election that takes place in Succession. I unfortunately lack the skills in either coding or writing to do it myself.

Why are Marxists not producing empirical economic research?

This may be an issue of my own lack of awareness, so if I am wrong I would be happy to be pointed in the direction of where this is happening. However, it seems to me that most Marxist organizations are more concerned with writing polemics on current affairs than conducting mathematical, data driven research into the economy. Marxist theory would benefit greatly from having empirical backing, so papers substantiating the SNLTV, or the TRPF, or overproduction or any of the other claims Marx made would be useful. Even beyond substantiating Marxism, if Marx's theories are true then they should be useful to analyzing trends in the global economy. And I don't mean analyzing them in the polemical sense as seen in the various communist party newspapers, but in the academic sense as other economic theories do.

Before anyone points me towards Richard Wolff, I know about him. His solution to capitalism - workers cooperatives - is not Marxist. The commodity form remains under such a state of affairs.

Reading List?

I've been a marxist for a while but, in typical marxist fashion, have read very little theory. I've read some, don't worry, but not nearly enough. Just some of the easier Marx stuff. Anyways, I've made it my personal project to go around and read some from as many tendencies as I can. r/leftcommunism helpfully has a reading list in their sidebar but sadly there is none here so I must ask for one. where can I find some sort of council communism official reading list?
