What if Voyager ended a little prematurely?

Made this alternative opening because I kept imagining it happening during my recent rewatch of season 1.

NERD RAGE DISCLAIMER: Love Voyager and honestly I'm even coming around on Neelix now that I'm older; please do not think I'm hating on the show by making this.

On Manhattan Bridge rooftop point you revive a recon. Halfway through you drop the revive to kill an attacker and finish the revive. The attacker gets revived so you kill him and the medic. You round the corner and kill a third while dropping prone. As you're reloading another enemy drops down and you pull your sidearm as the LMG barrel swings up to face you. The recon runs around the corner and is mowed down instantly by the attack heli because he's in the open.

The recon is on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over. but it can't, not without your help. But you're not helping.

now THIS is how you fail properly on Operation Auger offense. Not a mortar in sight, just getting owned by armor superiority like REAL MEN
