Wallpaper peeling at Corners due to dampness. Likely causes?

Hello, first time buyer here and I've fallen in love with a property which has serious potential but is in need of some updating. This room (main bedroom) aside from looking a bit tired, has wallpaper peeling off in the corners of the room (left hand side of the photograph, floor to ceiling) and I'm trying to get an idea of what is likely to be causing it.

That wall should be external. I don't think there was a downpipe in that location. There is a partially converted loft on the floor above but it doesn't extend this far so above should be a loft cavity.

Is this something I should be worried about, and is there anything I can do to work out the cause when I go for our second viewing on Saturday?
