I used to have this old gaming laptop and I'd be interested in buying it back 2nd hand if I can find it. I remember almost nothing of it, but here are the things I do remember

I want to say it was either Acer, or Asus, but I honestly couldn't be sure

Case was all black and on it, it hand the brand name imprinted but the letters were the same color as the case

It was released between 2013-2016

The all black keyboard had red lighting on it and it looked similiar to this

I recall when I was selling it the actual make and model were really long, with lots of numbers and letter.

I loaded up a game and when I tried to alt+tab out of the game, the keys functioned as just esc. I tried the windows button, that didn't work, I tried the other alt key, that didn't work. I unplugged and reconnected my keybaord, didn't work, restarted my PC, didn't work

Problem occurs in every game and not even on the desktop can I use the windows key.

I plugged in another keyboard and that does work.

So, by process of elimination you would conclude the problem lies with the hardware, but is there any way to determine if it's actually a windows related issue, or a 3rd party program?

Edit: interestinly I also cannot type the ''at'' symbol and instead it opens MS store...

I'm trying to determine which one would give better performance in something like COD, 4070 or 5060 with a Ryzen 5 3600, but unfortunately only PCIe 3.0.

I'm guessing 4070, but how big is the difference?

I have 16gb of RAM and 600w PSU for what it's worth

EDIT: I'm limited to 3.0 due to my MOBO

I need a GPU to hold me over for a little while, until I go for a proper build from the ground up (I'd either sell this or it's parts) but I need a GPU that can run the games I'd want to play in the interim.

Specs:

-Ryzen 5 3600

-GPU -

-16gb 3200mhz DDR4

-MOBO: MSI B450M Pro-M2

-Super flower golden green 600w 80+ gold

The modern games I want to be able to play (prioritize FPS over quality in online games, story based games I'm happy with 60 and online games min. 100, but preferably 120FPS):

-Spiderman 2

-RoboCop Rogue City

-Battlefield 6

-COD 2026

The GPU's I was looking at, comparing against one another and YouTubed benchmarks for:

3080 / 4070 / 5050 / 5060 / 5060 Ti

Considerations are of course, price, performance, power efficiency and availability, for example it's hard to get a 4070 for a decent price, 3080 would probably maybe require a new PSU, 5050 is poor, but efficient, 5060 is better but also efficient and relatively cheap, 5060 Ti would maybe be the winner, but I'm not sure how much performance I'd lose using a 50 series with that MOBO?

I'm fine gaming on 1080p for what it's worth, but I'm also fine picking up a new monitor for 1440p
