Thomas Roberts is a sorcerer from 500 years ago who was a holy knight of the European jujutsu church along with being the first user of the decay technique he imbued his spirit and technique into 3 cursed objects/tools

The first 2 are his halberd and armour which are imbued with his technique known as the armour and halberd of decay a pair of cursed tools that when worn/held by a decay user allows them to break the limitations of the binding vows attached to the technique and attack humans.

The 3rd object is a ceramic rose with his mummified hand holding it inside of a sealed box, by breaking the rose and consuming the hand the seal on the tool is broken. Within the tool Thomas has sealed his soul which will take the person who consumed the hand as a host reincarnating Thomas Roberts, due to predating the vows the reincarnation of Thomas is also unaffected by the vows.

Both of these tools are heavily guarded and are considered the hypothetical last resort which would create 2 full power decay users at once both able to use their technique on humans.

CURSED TECHNIQUE: DECAY

Lapse:You can mark someone with your cursed energy which changes how the domain expansion affects them. If you have one of your bones touching their skin you can activate decay, Decay releases the soul’s attachment to the body causing it to collapse however the soul does not leave until the body is gone.

**BLESSED TECHNIQUE:**REJUVENATION

Reversal: You can mark someone which changes the effect of the domain. If your skin is in contact with one of someone else’s bones you can heal their injuries by reshaping their soul to close wounds and stop bleeding.

DOMAIN EXPANSION: FIELD OF CROSSES

By default field of crosses has no guaranteed hit effect instead it applies the effect of decay or rejuvenation to those marked by one or the other. To open the domain you drop a flower on the ground and ”cross your heart (draw a line down chest and a line across your chest creating the shape of a latin cross) visually the domain is a field with tall grass, flowers and cross grave markers all throughout and anyone who dies in the domain will be added to the crosses of that specific user’s domain.

The first ever user of this technique believed it to be unholy and wrathful so he made several binding vows with the head of the European jujutsu church to ensure nobody can use rot again.

1. As long as the church stands only children of the church can be born with decay and in exchange only one person may have decay at a time
2. Decay cannot be used on humans in exchange rejuvenation uses 50% less cursed energy
