How many times have you heard you’re going to regret stretching your ears 😆

27yo F. 3/4” (19mm) Started stretching my ears at 13 in 8th grade strongly against my mom’s wishes lol

Never was able to wear regular earrings when I was younger as they always seemed to make my lobes hot, red and itchy. Always thought they looked funny too bc I felt my lobes were too big 😆

Initially stopped at 00g in 9th grade. Being young, stupid & not knowing how to correctly stretch my ears, I did it pretty quick & idk how I didn’t end up with a blow out esp going from a 2g to 0g🤧
Thought 00g was my goal size.

Eventually decided to size up in 2017 to 19mm. Almost 15 years of being told I’ll regret it. 🤪

Vet wants to do a “manipulation”

A month ago, My 5 year old yellow lab started limping with no weight bearing on his back left leg when he got up after resting from his normal play time outside. Nothing happened outside that indicated he hurt himself or was in pain. Do labs ever slow down for pain??? 🤧

Slowly he started weight bearing, would walk normal, lay down for a bit, limp with no pressure on that foot then eventually he would & within a day the limp/NWB was gone.
I’ve looked, felt, moved every part of this dogs leg & don’t get any indication of pain.

Roughly 3ish weeks ago my boyfriend brought him to the vet while I was out of town. He wasn’t limping then bc we didn’t want him to hurt himself more. The vet couldn’t pin point anything bc he doesn’t make any signs of pain. He loves the vet so he was hyped up too.

The vet put him on strict rest for 2 weeks. We had to give him trazodone & gabapentin to keep him calm & carprofen for pain. Vet said after 2 weeks, resume activities. If he limps, we will have to do a “manipulation” to find out what’s wrong

Curious if anyone else had to go through this with their pup?

One long year ❤️‍🩹

A year ago yesterday we had to make the worst/hardest decision a pet parent could make & put our 10.5yo Russell to rest ❤️‍🩹

They say they’ll tell you when it’s time & slowly he did.

It’s been a quiet year even though we have a 5 yo yellow lab who has the energy of two labs combined but I miss their rambunctious together. Russell was the best big brother & teacher. I see some of Russell’s behaviors/quirks that our yellow caught on to.

I still think about him everyday.

27 yo Female, my first OB in 2019 was absolutely horrible. So painful. Went to the walk in clinic & was diagnosed. My ex used to never disclosed he had GHSV (he was a liar & cheater) I never saw any OB down there but he used to get cold sores & I never knew oral HSV could be transferred to the genitals.

I was so embarrassed, disgusted with myself & hated myself. If I remember correctly I had a mild OB in 2020 & I haven’t had one since…. I nearly almost forgot about it.

Until Sunday evening I woke up for my night shift (I’m a nurse) & felt what at first I thought were pimples & extremely tender. Then the panic hit, I prayed they were pimples/friction bumps. I was hoping it was anything else but an OB.

Then later in my shift the tingling started & my biggest fear came true. I was in a flare up. It’s been almost 6 years… I’m so discouraged.

It’s been 3 days & Thankfully it doesn’t seem as bad as my first OB but I don’t know if I feel like shit physically bc of my OB but I know I feel awful mentally bc of it.

I used to keep lysine on hand in case & a month ago when I was cleaning my bathroom I threw it out thinking I don’t need this & then bam I have an outbreak.

I have no idea what could’ve triggered this OB as I’ve had many instances of stressful periods throughout the past 6 years that I thought would for sure cause a flare up but it never did..
I am due to start my period this week but again my menstrual cycle has never caused a flare..

I’m going to get some lysine & I’ve also seen people recommend desitin cream.. hopefully it speeds the healing process up 😣

Every year I buy him a brand new kiddie pool & by the end of summer I’m patching it together with duct tape 😂

He likes to “dig” into pool that causes soft spots in the plastic after all his scratching so a soft bottom is out of the question🥲

I also live in an apartment and having to flip it over to empty it causes creases in certain spots that eventually tear open.

What are we using for pools?! 🤣😭preferably one with a drain!!
