How many times have you heard you’re going to regret stretching your ears 😆

27yo F. 3/4” (19mm) Started stretching my ears at 13 in 8th grade strongly against my mom’s wishes lol

Never was able to wear regular earrings when I was younger as they always seemed to make my lobes hot, red and itchy. Always thought they looked funny too bc I felt my lobes were too big 😆

Initially stopped at 00g in 9th grade. Being young, stupid & not knowing how to correctly stretch my ears, I did it pretty quick & idk how I didn’t end up with a blow out esp going from a 2g to 0g🤧
Thought 00g was my goal size.

Eventually decided to size up in 2017 to 19mm. Almost 15 years of being told I’ll regret it. 🤪

Made it to 54mm/19mm

I definitely plan on going to at least 57mm on the bottoms, and have a set of 20mm ready for the top. I’ll probably chill out here for a month or so, going to hit the 3” mark in my own way

went out and saw the pikes peak mountain, had multiple people ask me about the 2g septum

Can't stretch from 14g to 12g septum

Hey! I got my septum done a year ago at 14g. A couple months after it healed I went down to a 16g because I saw jewelry I liked. I went to my piercer to help me stretch back up to 14g. She forced it in with no lube whatsoever and it hurt like hell, but it worked. Now I want to go down to 12g.

I've tried it twice now with both a straight taper and a pincher, using a lot of oil. Both the straight and the pincher could not go in at the thickest point even when I tried to force it. Adding more oil did not help. What am I doing wrong?

Is this shape normal?

I noticed that when I take my jewelry out, my piercing hole has a little circular indentation at the upper-right edge (visible in the photos). The hole itself doesn’t hurt, isn’t irritated, and stretching has been going fine.

Is this just normal anatomy or the way the piercing tract healed? Does anyone else’s lobe look like this, or is it something I should keep an eye on?

I did stretch my ears in highschool (very badly) and blew out my ears and got an infection. Is this remnant scar tissue? I’m over a month out from my last stretch and I had no issues with it when I sized up.

Progress so far

Reached 7mm couple days ago, started from 10G in february 😬 . I used half size plug that slipped in without any effort. I know that's sketch but i'm Slowing down from now (hated how it looked when it was smaller)

Is my ear piecing too low to start stretching?

I’d really love to stretch my ears but I have a feeling my piercing is too low( got it pierced as a child) is it too low to stretch it safely?

OMG expansion

I'm so sad, I dropped my stone and it broke! Any advice on how to avoid losing it? It's 36 millimeters.

Just started stretching and I'm in pain(?)

Hiya, I've literally just started stretching my ears. Had my ears pierced for over 10 years now and went from that to 14g today, I got my kit online it came with metal tapers and steel plugs I initially put the taper in my ears and put both plugs in after massaging them with some oil for a bit. They are both in and it's been maybe half an hour, and I'm in a bit more pain than I thought I would be. After running the tapers through my ears, they bled a bit, so I initially wasn't going to continue, but I'm worried I've messed up.If I leave them, they just sting like new piercings, but if I accidentally knock them or touch them, it's very sore. My earlobes look normal. I'm just wondering if I should stop now and not try, or keep them in.

Nostrils stretching with tapers?

I have my nostrils done few days ago (yay! still surprised there’s no pain at all, septum was much worse). In the future I probably plan to stretch them to like 12-10g. It seems to me that it has no sense to punch with such a small stretch and I hardly imagine dead stretching (especially having experience with any O-rings absolutely not staying at place with septum).

So the question is if it’s possible to stretch gradually with just tapers? It works with bridge so far (14g now), but I don’t have any experience with cartilage piercings at all.

PS obviously I won’t do anything like stretching for at least half a year, I just prefer to prepare way in advance 😅

This is what happens when you stretch too soon

This is by no means me trying to romanticize stretching too early. But some have been where I’m at. That itch to get to your goal size or close to it so we look cool. This pic was when I was at maybe 20mm after sizing down from a 30mm

The blowout does not go away. If anything, it made my stretching journey WAYYY harder. Tried the natural stuff like hemorrhoid cream and being naked for a month or so. Daily massages, etc. Though I saw some improvements, it didn’t fix the actual issue. It also made it harder to buy standard size plugs/tunnels because one of my lobes were dipping or eating the jewelry. So that was a huge issue. It costs money to custom make your jewelry, which I’m now stuck doing.

This is more of a visual PSA to newcomers wanting to join the stretching party. Please do your research, learn from others, and don’t be impatient. Basically, don’t be like me. I might have to do surgery to correct my ear, but that’s the price you pay for not doing it right the first time.

Gauged Ears

So I’ve been stretching my ears for awhile and have had to go down in size due to irritation. I finally got both back to 0g and was trying to size up to 9mm. My left ear got super irritated and is covered in crusties. I’ve had the gauges out for 24 hours and I’m trying to decide what I should do. Go down in size again? Leave it out? Any advice?

At 4g!

About to go up to my final goal of 2g in roughly a week. Super excited for the next size up and happy so far with where I'm at now

I am actively experiencing a torture like no other

Go ahead laugh but I don't know what to do or how do you even deal with this? But I have a mosquito bite on my earlobe. I can't wear earrings because it irritates it🤣
