alex is the first and only nail tech ive ever had (ive always gone to a nail salon and just had whoever was first available do my nails, it switched every time) and the first one ive had do designs for me (i was scared being of colorful, and of people thinking i was weird. kept it strictly pink/white ombre stiletto)

i found alex through a friend who had the cutest pool ball nails i’ve ever seen. idk what it was, but seeing those nails sparked a huge “you know what? i want that” in me. i got bright green kiwi nails my first appointment with her in march and it’s been nothing but colors and fun since!

i’ve been getting back into doodling on my ipad, and a big reason for that has been the excitement i get leading up to my next nail appointment! i’ve only done it a couple times, but it’s been a lot of fun trying to think of what i want next, then messing around with colors and shapes and some pieces of designs i’ve seen in the wild

she takes my doodles and brings them to life!! this current set is probably my very favorite so far. i can’t stop looking at them and wiggling my fingers in peoples faces haha. i can not believe these are my real nails (shoutout gel builder)

hello all! i recently had a noise pop up on my “new to me” alltrack.
(sorry this ended up getting a little long. TLDR at the bottom)

the noise doesn’t happen often - when it does, it’s ONLY when i try to accelerate through a left turn (usually a sharper left turn). it makes this loud quick grinding/clunking noise. (sorry i wish i could explain the sound better)

most people have told me it was probably a wheel bearing or a CV joint/axel - i wouldn’t even know where to start for a guess. i’ve been learning things as they pop up, but my car knowledge is limited to - turning it on/off, putting air in the tires, checking my oil and coolant, checking/changing windshield fluids, changing running light/headlight bulbs and putting gas in it lol

when i took it in to a mechanic who specifically works on german cars (my bf has been going to him for his audi Q7 and his 2003 vw passat for a very long time) - mechanic said it was my differential / i would need a new transmission. he told me to bring it by the vw dealership i bought it from for a second opinion/to see if there is anything they can do under warranty. if they can’t/wont, he said to being it back and he’d have one of his guys give it a look/3rd opinion and we’d go from there.

my appointment at the dealership is tomorrow - i had the 30 day/1,500 mile and 60 day, 2,500 “limited drivetrain” warranty. i have a feeling they’re going to say nothing is covered bc when i made the appointment, i was well past the 30 day option. however, i was sitting just under 60 days and was at 2,700 miles. now, at the time of the appointment, i am over the 60 days and sitting at about 3,300 miles. im not 100% sure what “limited drivetrain” means but im assuming the differential falls under this?

i’m a little nervous driving right now, as i drive 30-55 miles a day m-f, and just short errand runs on weekend) - original mechanic said as long as the noise doesn’t get worse i should be okay for a bit. i can completely avoid the noise by taking left turns slow/slightly wider than usual, but i don’t know if that should make me feel better?

so i guess my questions are -

- has anyone dealt with something similar? what was your experience?

- can anyone vouch for the mechanic saying “i’m fine as long as the noise doesn’t get worse?” it’s not that i don’t believe him, i am just not knowledgeable with cars. and the only “car trouble” i’ve had was with my jetta (rip 2022-2026) - the ECM malfunctioned like a month after i got it. but i couldn’t drive it if i wanted to in that situation lol

- is there a chance the vw dealership would count me in the warranty window if i was under the 60 days when i made the appointment? or would the differential problem mean the warranty wouldn’t count anyways (“limited drivetrain” and all that)?

- i realize this one may be a stretch, but if anyone thinks i’m still okay driving as long as the noise doesn’t get worse - what are the chances i could make it on a roadtrip (8ish hour drive) i have coming up? again, i know it’s a long shot (and i will be discussing further with the mechanic as well), but we’d planned on using my car so both of us can switch on and off driving. my friend said we could use her car if mine isn’t okay, i just feel bad bc hers is a stick
(i never learned to drive one), so she’d have to do the whole drive herself.

couldn’t decide between saddles and dangles. decided eh, why not all of them. then threw in some cuffs to add a little more dazzle dazzle to the saddles

just a lil appreciation post for my artist 🩷

when i was living in stl during college (2013-2017), i walked into a random tattoo shop and was placed with a random artist - since then i haven’t/could never fathom going anywhere else. i followed him to two tattoo shops, and now that im (sadly) no longer living in the state, i try to make it down at least once a year for another.

i went crazy heavy on getting my arms/upper body done, but now my legs need some more love. (i mean, i’m going to be covered from neck down, but a little balance in the meantime would feel better lol)

i FINALLY was able to swing a trip this year and have my next appointment booked for next month! not a clue what im getting (he said he’d draw me something sick) but i know it’ll be on my shin.

i’d like to do my very best caring for this guy so any advice as far as service/maintenance/upkeep are greatly appreciated. i’m just so darn excited

first ever accident in my first ever car yesterday at 2:40am. i am so bummed - i love my lil shtty car.

i am okay - but shocked at the distance in which a large buck could fly and nauseous while i wait to hear if insurance will let me fix it or decides to total it out.

10/10 do not recommend.
