Ears look like this when I take jewellery out

Started at 15 went too fast, suffered a lot of tearing but no known blowouts. Will my lobes ever look decent again lol?

Overtime in other shops

I’m 16, currently working tills in my local Tesco, but manager hasn’t signed off on me going to floor just for overtime. I work 2x a week and don’t earn as much as I need, but to request another shift would be risky since I start college again in August. As a 16 year old, am I able to go to other shops? Wasn’t sure what the restrictions are, if any.

Am I wrong for telling my mum to f off?

I, 16, have been on holiday with her and my stepdad all week, cousin included. She has repeatedly asked if we’re okay to the point it has pissed us both off, like, it’s constant. Cousin is 17.

It’s now at the point where she’ll come in during the middle of the night, stand over just me, and stare down. Tonight, I woke up. Shouted “What the fuck are you doing?” And told her to leave. I could hear her shuffling around before, and she was just at our patio door, not my cousins side and staring down at her like she was me. This is the middle of the night, where I’m trying to sleep. This has been every night.

The last time I went on holiday with her, I ended up in a very bad episode of depersonalisation (they happen as a result of trauma from her ironically), and it lasted me over a month. It was scary, I do not want that to happen again.

For a bit of background, I have a fair few scars across me, which she only recently found out about, and has non stop been staring at them, this includes when she was stood over me. When she helped me put sun cream on, she’d run her hands over them. This is what’s really really fucking me off a lot. It makes me so uncomfortable and if I say anything, it’ll just kick an argument up. So I just wear shirts around her now because I can’t stand it. She often tells me they’re permanent and gross, and she has no excuse for being unable to stare at them other than “I can’t help it! My eyes wander,” I could genuinely explode.

I’m sorry if this whole thing is a shambles, it’s currently midnight, I’m tired, and upset at her.

Irritation or scar tissue?

I got banned from the other subreddit which would’ve been better help but however.

Got this pierced in Aug 2025 by reputable stabber with a titanium stud. Changed it too early (rookie mistake), have had a stud in it since & put a hoop in yesterday. It isn’t sore to touch; though it was only for a split second. Part of it looks like scarring and part irritation. I am stumped.

What counts as a relapse?

I’ve been recovered from what was dx as >!bulimia!< but only reason I didn’t fit >!AN BP type!< was due to my weight. I’ve been recovered for about 5-6 months now.

I’ve been experiencing ocd-contamination type symptoms and my therapist is monitoring them closely. When I was younger, I suffered from harm OCD, though not diagnosed. I’d have thoughts of >!hurting others/pets,!< and I hated it beyond belief. It sucked. I even at one point believed that people thought I was a >!pedo!< for getting changed in the same room as my little cousin (I was 10, they were 8).

The contamination symptoms have been affecting my eating patterns; I can only eat what I have made, not anyone else, otherwise it’s contaminated to me. The reason this started was because of my hair falling into my lunch when out with friends and I just felt such a strong feeling of “this is contaminated, I can’t eat it anymore,” whilst having 3/4 of it left. This has carried on and I now need to inspect any food not made by me to ensure there’s no hair. I don’t know if this is considered a relapse or not? Is it a whole other thing ? I just feel like I’m gonna explode, I had been doing so well and I don’t want to go through all the health issues I previously faced. I’m all over the place. Things have been good; like the best they’ve ever been in the last 3 years, so I don’t understand why this is happening.

first blowout ever 💔

Oopsie daisies. Yes, I know the issues with blowouts. No, it won’t happen again. My ears are extra stretchy since hEDs, and the good ol lobes weren’t happy going from 5.5 to 6. Just too soon.

They don’t look as bad in the pictures, but I can attest to there being some torn skin and blowouts 😔

Not the worst blowout I’ve seen compared to some in here, but still not nice. Just letting them chill and keeping them oiled :p

Time between piercings?

Got my industrial done around end of Feb ish, was wanting to get the other side of my nose pierced some time this year—when’s an appropriate time to do this? Also wasn’t sure on the flair so just stuck the most likely one lol.

How to manage gym?

I went to the doctors today for moderate-extreme joint pain due to hypermobility that has been persistent since 12 years old. It’s at a point now where I am struggling to walk for long periods without being in bad pain and having to sit down. It is in my notes that I have a history of disordered eating / over exercising and the doctor didn’t take this into account. She told me to go back to the gym and pick up exercising again (I am on my feet every day and walking, I’m not a chud lmao), but I’m scared if I go back to the gym that I’ll relapse badly. Previously, the gym was a dangerous place for me; I’d spend hours there doing cardio and all sorts to lose weight—stepping back in could push me back. I don’t want it to. I’m still under CAMHS but have since been discharged from connect-ED, is it worth saying to my therapist about it so they can monitor? I know I’m not in my right mind during relapses or backslides as they’ve happened before, and I may not be able to always recognise when im in active relapse. Is there any way I’m able to balance the gym and my evil, evil brain?

Hypermobility, GP’s, Gym’s.

Been in recovery for over a year. Went to the docs today due to pain caused by hypermobility (persistent from 12 onwards), as the exercises given by physio a couple of years ago just put me in even more pain when doing and finished them. Using the leg press in the gym helped me gain strength and helped a little with pain—but I developed an ED during my time at the gym. The Doc today told me just to do light exercise (which I understand, it helped a little), but I’m worried if I go back to the gym for the same reason, I’ll get triggered as I know it’s a place I can easily lose weight in. How do I go back without backsliding or wholly relapsing?

Just going to list off my things for ease

- when eating, I constantly think about calories and how much control I have
- purposefully not eat to avoid consuming 1000+ cal
- consistent thought of being fat or becoming
- terrified of gaining weight and would rather lose it

Was diagnosed with BN wrongfully by psychiatrist due to parent present, had that diagnosis removed and have been in recovery since

Recently, I think I’ve realised HARD. I can’t even bring myself to eat the smallest of things; my cousin handed me a tiny ass little donut (one of the mini ones), and I just stared at it and went ‘thanks,’ it’s been sat there for 10 minutes—I can’t bring myself to eat it. This has happened for the last week. I’m so mad at myself, because I was finally getting rid of a bit of that noise. wtf do I do. I’m still under camhs for different support.
