Career Transition

With the recent changes in politics, I think it's time for me to hang up my belt. I'm looking into transitioning from the field to the Safety side of construction. I've been doing excavation/plumbing for the last decade or so, but unfortunately never got the chance to get on a card to test out and become licensed. That said, my CDL expired, and I was let go since I'm unable to renew it due to my immigration status (DACA). Who's made the transition from field to safety? What are the proper steps to climb the ladder? I currently have my OSHA 10/30 , Competent Person and all the Excavation, Trench & Confined Space Certs I want to enroll in the 510, as I think it'll benefit me in the long term. Would my status affect me in this field? What's a good starting salary range? What's top pay/scale here in Chicago?

Posterior Cervical Decompression / Foraminotomy

I've been having neck pain for the past couple of years that's progressively gotten worse. A doctor recommended I get surgery. He said it's minimal, but I can't find any pictures online—just a bunch of diagrams and animated pictures, no photos from someone who's actually had it. Can you explain how minimal it actually is, and whether it might lead to another surgery down the road? Do you have any pictures you can share?

A little background 27M , Blue Collar I've had the Epidural already it helped for about a month, I have a little Spur on C3 Pinching my nerve to where it's almost impossible to do anything now it's definitely getting worse doctor suggested this instead of a Disc Replacement or Fusion . Can someone please tell me how your experience was with this procedure?

Sudden urge to just leave

Anyone else in the same boat??

I've been in this country since I was 2 years old. I never got a chance to visit Mexico or experience it up until this past year with AP, but now with everything changing constantly, I feel as if I'm contemplating just leaving to Mexico. Why do they make it so difficult for us to gain residency? Why do we try to be part of the system that constantly wants us out? I've built a successful career & business here that means nothing if I can't enjoy it. The constant fear of deportation or uncertainty is definitely getting to me now. How is everyone coping with it?
