Lego Therapist

Lego Therapist

I’m a therapist who often works with kids. My office is closing today, so thought I’d share some of the builds that I’ve made with clients before everything gets boxed up.

It’s been really fun and rewarding to use this medium as a way to help people overcome challenges!

[FT] - North, ID - Weekaqua L1200, Weekaqua M1200, For 2 L900s

Bit of a long shot, looking for two L900s. Would consider paying all shipping. Have a few purchases in this community, but several verified sales in others.

Thanks!

Help me find a spot to catch some frogs! Please :)

Hey everyone,

Frog catching was one of my favorite things growing up and I'd like to share that with my kids. I have a couple of young boys and we spend time outdoors, but I never seem to be able to track any frogs down. Does anyone know of a spot where we might have some luck?

We've been able to snag some lizards, snakes, and turtles, but frogs remain elusive. I know there are bullfrogs on Avondale, but my kids are pretty little and that's a tough spot for them. My 4-year-old is persistent as hell and is on the hunt whenever we go outside. I'd like to be able to give him some of that enjoyment that I grew up with.

Anyone out there with a decent place??

Thanks!

Edit: This is strictly a catch and release situation, I’m not out here trying to domesticate every living creature we cross paths with.

Creeping Jenny Transplant

I haven’t seen many posts on here about people transferring this common plant from gardens into their aquariums, so thought this might be of use to the community.

Got a hold of a nice chunk (thanks mom!), roots and all and planted today as a large clump in stratum.

Didn’t rinse as well as I thought, so pardon the cloudiness 😅. I’ll be back to update on how it goes if anyone’s interested. Ph ~7, nitrates ~40, temp 78, medium lighting. CO2. Fertilized inconsistently with 2 hour aquarists no nitrate added fertilizer (APT 1??).

Help Me Pick My Mid-Level Fish?

Just finished a nice long dark start on this 60g, and got to plant last week. Currently stocked with 5 wild type honey gouramis and will add ~10 panda corys once the Monte Carlo establishes.

Any good recs for mid level schooling fish? PH 7.4, KH 2.5, GH 7. Rummynose would be ideal, but this tank is in my office at work and I’d like to not stress about water parameters too much. Was thinking cherry barbs unless anyone has other solid ideas. Thanks!

Tank Update

4ish months progress on a 125g project. Completely broke down, refinished the acrylic, rescaped, and switched to RO water and Fluval stratum with blasting sand cap. Still struggling with some diatoms, but we’re getting there!

New Office, New Aquarium. Feedback Welcome!

Picked up this 60g acrylic tank of marketplace with stand and equipment for $100. Was able to sand out scratches and refinish it. Now just working on hardscape, but doesn’t feel “perfect”. Can’t quite put my finger on why though. Any suggestions out there??

Will be high tech with a background of rotala blood red, Monte Carlo/hygrophilia pinnatifida mid ground, and staurogyne repens taking up the front.

Hardscape feedback?

Looking for some hardscape advice for this 60g before I plant. I don’t love it, but can’t exactly put my finger on why. Plan is to create a curtain of rotala red along the back, Monte Carlo on the rocks, and undecided on midground/foreground plants.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
