Accidentally cross processed FP4 in E6 Chems

Accidentally cross processed FP4 in E6 Chems

I’m gonna chalk this one up to my concussion and my adhd. I don’t retain as much detailed memory of what I was doing as much these days and I only developed some of my box from a trip cause i easily get side tracked and I thought this was my e6 shots. I knew I had missing photos of FP4 and this explains it.

E6 chems still worked afterwards so I guess thats something note down.

Whats in my chems?

Had a few of these lately so i thought id post here as a learning experience for myself and others. Ive posted my suggestions but If others have different ideas id be keen to hear.

First chem is from my ilfocolour e6 kit. I was pouring the conditioner into the bottle and a few small jelly looking clumps formed but did not seem to effect the chemistry as my results are fine.

2nd chem is the conditioner from the bellini black and white reversal kit. I think its the emulsion. The kit had some bad chems and not my first bad chems from bellini so wont be using that kit again or their chems.

3rd is from the ilfocolour e6 kit. Developer went pink. I think its was just the heavy about of dye on the particular e6 chems but it didn’t effect the film when i developed further rolls.

What is this?

Bought a bunch of old darkroom equipment. Mainly for the safety lights and storage bottles and this came with the lot. Appreciate if someone can tell me what it is and for?

Blurry vignette with Macro scanning setup

Using this FD/FL macro to try scan some film and duplicate dome photos too.

Tried shooting some test scans yesterday of some slide film and its got this very strong bluring vignette that I can’t seem to get rid of. Assuming the lens is stuck wide open.

Any advice on how to shoot with a macro bellows set up.
Was hoping to dupicate some photos too with it. Ideally without this bluring vignette. The bellows only have rise on the slide and does not have tilt or moving at an angle.

Unique light leak.

Obviously a light leak and not a chem issue. Respooled 220 Aero Colour IV from reflex lab. Funny that it covers the first two frames near perfectly. My best guess is that it was when they were respooliing but id welcome any other suggestions. Never had this before on medium format. Changed in a darkbag and shot on my fujica 645 which neither have shown any issues.

Weird mark randomly appears on prints

So ive been practicing learning black and white printing using ilford chems and ilford paper. First few prints are fine than i start noticing a mark appear on some of the prints.

At one point it also seemed like some of the prints were fogging. So replaced the fixer and it still happened ie the mark so I replaced the developer and still noticed the mark.

My mate was printing between my prints with his own paper and did not have the issue (we were using the same chems) so im wondering if there is something wrong with prints. I also used some 4x5 positive paper and two of his paper and had no issue.

Im careful with paper and developed enough to not accidentally expose my film or paper. Any idea what might be causing this ring? Is it a manfacture issue? Or me? I also had it happen no matter the negative or different film carrier. I can’t seee how i could of exposed this ring myself as it’s clearly several prints deep.

I was gonna book the darkroom again before it closes permanently but this issue is frustrating and im wanna figure it out. So sorry for the shitty iphone pictures than some scans that would show the photos more clearly.
