It’s genuinely so hard to climb right now.

I’m only a peak masters player but I’m hardstuck diamond atm. I’m loving this set so far, but I just can’t seem to understand how to consistently perform.

Feel like there’s a lack of vertical comps this set which is what I used to climb before. I play sort of everything now but, default mostly to yi, Shepard vanguard, or prim rr.

I feel like my stage 2 and 3 are always very strong, know when to econ vs push, but I’m just not stabilizing correctly on 4-2. Literally feel like I lose 90% of fights. I’ve gone 7th after 12 streaking the first 12 fights. Been watching guides and high elo players but my lobbies just feel like everyone is high rolling. I’m stuck

I played 6 games today:

  1. 3rd. Lulu rr (ahri’s aura, serpent, and stargazer opener w lulu and nashors slam, lulu 3 on 4-5)
  2. 3rd. Xayah. (radiant red buff, patient study + 3 timebreaker opener, literally hit my board on 4-1)
  3. 4th. Yi (nova + prim emblem, 5 nova)
  4. 4th. Yi (double marauder emblem)
  5. 3rd. Tf rr (treasure hunt and natural 5 tfs on 2-1, also charge transfer on 4-2 which is the best combat augment for this comp)

Out of the first 5 games I felt like I was underperforming given my conditions. Even though I had a 3.4 avp, I definitely should have had higher placements on some.

  1. 8th. Yi (no conditions but I tempoed fine and hit my board, had the 2nd most expensive board in terms of board value when I died)

Lost all my lp on game six and I’m just super frustrated right now. Feel like I’m missing something. How are you mega climbers navigating this set?
