Sudden personality change in my snake

I have a california king snake and he’s very active and always hungry. I know that’s very “fork found in kitchen” but honestly, for the seven years or so I’ve had him, he hasn’t behaved the way he has in the last few months. He used to be very chill and rest a lot, now he’s always on the move when I check in on him. He used to refuse food fairly regularly, now he never refuses a meal and sees food when there isn’t. I’m not complaining that he’ll always take his food, but now I’m getting scared to handle him when I have to clean his enclosure because he’ll latch onto my hands and refuse to let go. I worry I’ll hurt him removing him with my credit card. I’m getting really scared he’ll bite my eye out if he gets too close to my face. It makes me feel like I’ve lost my boy in a way :(

The only thing I can think that correlates is I moved him into my room a few months ago, along with my sister’s corn snake (she movrd out and couldn’t bring the snake with). Their enclosures are about eight feet apart so maybe he smells the corn? That said, they’ve been near each other for the past few years with no issue before. I’ll try moving him around maybe but if you have more ideas I’d love to hear it, or at least advice on handling him. I got a hook already, maybe I should get gloves too.

doctor?

15f, 5'4, unknown weight.

acquired hypothyroidism, dyshidrotic eczema

on levothyroxin, Ebglyss, fluoxetine

mosquito bite happened at about 8pm on July 12

Was about half a centimeter when she went to bed last night, and woke up 8 hours later to it about 2 inches in diameter all the way around. no visible red lines, no bullseye rash, and it was in fact a mosquito as she saw it. She did smack it off mid-bite if that affects it. In general southern Colorado area. no longer itchy 24-26 hours after, but painful and slightly warm. no fever present. no known severe allergies. bandaid covering it to prevent scratching and messing with it now.

blue circle is hard to the touch, like a mass under the skin. black circle is mild swelling, no pain and no oozing. No history of severe reactions to bites. Size is closer to blue now(10:50pm) than it was at 1:30pm

Should she see a doctor?

meet herald!

he lives in my grandma's backyard. he's definitely a boy with that long tail. he sits right by their garage door and let's me pick him up. pretty sure he's a western terrestrial garter. does look like he got into a fight recently though. hes got a couple marks and some blood on his face that weren't there last time.

But meet ✨️HERALD✨️

Edit: it does look like I'm squeezing him in picture 3, but I promise, my grip was loose!
