Can someone explain why i can’t combine these picks?
Seems like underdog is making things more difficult? This season is the first season where I’m getting multiple errors.

Has anyone been hired at CISA since the great firings?
Have an interview coming up and looking to see the current climate.
So a whole bunch of locations are hiring for EEOC Investigator.
I wanted to ask about some things.
Workload and hours. does caseload push you into regular overtime? How many cases do you carry at once? I’ve heard extremely overworked.
The actual day-to-day. From what I’ve read, it’s intake reviews, gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, writing determinations, and coordinating with attorneys on the tougher cases. Does that match what you’re doing, or is there a lot more (or less) than that?
Remote/hybrid setup. Is fieldwork still a big part of this, or has it moved mostly to phone and video interviews?
Burnout. Discrimination cases aren’t light material. How do people handle the emotional weight of that over time?
Anyone applied to these positions? Also anyone currently working as an EEOC Investigator?
So I finally got my carpal tunnel surgery done today. Here’s how it went.
The surgery itself? Fast and painless. The IV? A whole issue . My veins are apparently tiny and hard to find, so the nurse and anesthesiologist spent 45 minutes poking around trying to get one in. Ten pokes. TEN. I felt like a pin cushion before I’d even gotten to the actual surgery.
Once they finally got the IV in, they gave me Versed first “just for relaxation.” That stuff hit like a margarita. Ten seconds later, before they’d even started the propofol, I was already gone.
Next thing I know, I’m waking up in recovery and it felt like zero time had passed. No grogginess, no sense of time, just straight from “here comes the good stuff” to “wait, is it over already?”
My hand’s numb right now from the nerve block, but I can already tell it’s going to be sore once that wears off. Honestly though, I’m just relieved it’s done and that I don’t remember a single second of it. Ten pokes for an IV is a small price to pay for a procedure I have zero memory of.
Getting endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery tomorrow and my surgeon’s default plan is general anesthesia with an LMA (not intubation), plus local anesthetic at the surgical site. I asked about doing twilight/moderate sedation instead and doctor said i can discuss with anesthesia tomorrow.
Looking for any experiences
Anyone working at the USCIS field office in San Francisco? Curious what the office environment is actually like day to day.
How’s the workload? Is the office culture decent? And how do you like the location itself, commute, parking, the neighborhood around it?
Would love to hear from people who’ve worked there, current or past. .
I’ve been out of work for about 5 years because of my disabilities. Four years ago I qualified for VR&E, and like a lot of you, I got stuck with a counselor who made everything harder than it needed to be. My fix: I called her supervisor. Once she knew someone above her was watching, she started answering my emails and doing her job. I just played along after that.
Here’s the real problem though. After 5 years off the job market, I had zero idea what employers were even looking for anymore. So I started pulling actual job descriptions from USAJobs and using them as a template, matching the jobs to my resume be changing the words.
Since I started doing that, I’ve gotten referred and interviewed nonstop. I’ve had 5 interviews in two weeks. And I just accepted my first job in 5 years. GS-9. I also had to learn the STAR method when interviewing because I’m a horrible speaker and during the interviews they ask 2 to 3 part questions and it’s overwhelming.
If you’re a disabled vet and you’re losing hope, apply anyway. Pull job descriptions that match what you’ve done, rework your resume around that exact language, and keep sending it out. It works.
Just got EOD and it’s a 5/7/9 ladder I’m starting at 7.
few things I’m trying to figure out:
**•** What’s the day-to-day actually like? Caseload, deadlines, remote/hybrid setup?
**•** How’s your team and management been?
**•** What’s the path from ISA to something like Supervisory ISA or MSS or a GS-11+ role? Do people move up by staying put, switching offices, or jumping to a different agency and coming back?
**•** Any regrets or things you wish you knew before starting?
As soon as i got my EOD i got referred for a Misson Support Specialist GS 11……
But i can’t wait i need a job.
Would love to hear from anyone currently in the role or who left. Trying to make a smart move here, not just a resume line
What is the day to day like? Do you like the job?
I was told it would be on a computer all day.

Who can help? Almost out of poverty and been looking for employment for years
I had TJO and cleared for hire since march and yet HR is saying that my office is pausing all EODs until further notice. I don’t understand why they just won’t cancel the job if there don’t plan on moving forward? It’s my understanding that DHS is funded so i just don’t see the reasoning behind this.

Tired of looking for leagues to join so just created my own
The VA authorized me for community care and issued an authorization number for treatment at the doctors office. Their intake staff confirmed they accepted TriWest before my appointment. After the visit, I received a $500 bill and was told the provider doesn’t accept TriWest.
I called my VA community care coordinator, who confirmed the provider is in-network (an authorization can’t be issued to an out-of-network provider). She resent the authorization to the billing office with instructions on how to bill and a note stating I should never be billed directly. The provider’s insurance verification department still says they don’t accept TriWest and that I owe $500.
I got community care billing team on a three-way call with the provider’s office. Community care billing confirmed the provider is in-network and has no explanation for why the office keeps saying otherwise. The insurance verification department has no direct phone number since they’re a separate third-party vendor. I then call TriWest claims and they once again confirm network status but can’t place outbound calls, so they can’t call the verification department directly, and that department won’t call TriWest either.
My congressional office says they can push the VA to escalate but can’t contact the provider directly.
Under VA’s Community Care Network rules, a provider paid by TriWest is considered paid in full and can never bill a veteran for the remaining balance, even if there’s a coverage dispute. That’s TriWest’s own language in their provider handbook. The thing is the provider won’t bill tri west because they’re saying they don’t accept tri west….
I have no idea what to do at this point.
And it suck’s because the provider that i saw for that first appointment was amazing.
No matter what i do the power cord for the ONT box will not plug in. Any suggestions?
A lot of you are new to Love Island, so let me break this down. The KC and Aniya situation has nothing to do with KC’s behavior and everything to do with how production is framing Aniya’s story. They’re building her up as the loyal, sympathetic one and painting KC as the villain. The show has run this exact script before.
Season 6 did it with Kordell. He coupled up with a bombshell during casa while Serena stayed loyal. When he came back to the main villa, the love island fans did the same thing to Kordell. But this situation ends differently because Aniya doesn’t have the personality that Serena has and that Love Island rewards. She’s insecure, and that doesn’t play well in that environment.
When they both return from Casa, it’s straightforward. If Aniya comes back without a connection and KC comes back with one, KC chooses. Write all the think pieces you want. At the end of the day, KC decides what happens to Aniya.
And my guess is he sends her home.
And i believe this would save this boring season
I’m about to start an internship at a federal agency doing digital forensics. My background is mostly basic IT and some networking. Nothing deep.
I know I have a lot to learn fast. Before I start, I wanted to ask people who’ve actually done this work: what helped you get up to speed, and what do you wish someone had told you on day one?
I’ve heard that a clearance granted through one DHS agency (e.g., CBP, FEMA, TSA, USSS) doesn’t automatically follow you to another component . Is that actually true? I thought reciprocity was required by law across all federal agencies, but someone told me DHS handles things differently internally. Anyone have firsthand experience moving between DHS components with an existing clearance? Did you have to go through a whole new process or did it carry over?
Question for HR professionals: After a background investigation comes back clean and a candidate is cleared for hire, whose responsibility is it to officially convert the CJO to FJO and EOD? Curious how it’s handled across different orgs. Also what can cause a delay in that happening?
I know HR is probably slammed right now dealing with back pay and reinstating employees on top of everything else, but has anyone heard anything about Final Job Offers starting to go out again?
