This POS has given me the same problem for almost three years.

Yeah, it's an okay phone with an okay camera and a mediocre battery, but this one thing has been driving me crazy.

From time to time it just decides to forget how to phone.

This happens anywhere between months apart and multiple times a day. I tried each and every tip, trick and hack from the internet and I can't figure out why the f u c k it's happening.

It just decides to ignore the fact that I have (e)SIM cards in the phone and that a phone is supposed to use the damn cards to do damn phone things.

Just wanted to check in and see what you do.

From may until the end of september I play at least once every saturday, sometimes friday as well and few times also on sundays.

I feel the need to change strings before every weekend because I get black spots as soon as I start playing on stage, like before the end of the first set.

I sweat heavily and my fingers get really sticky.

I don't have a problem with changing strings that often and I'm also not worried about the financial side of it.

I own six electric guitars and bring two of them for each gig. I also bring an acoustic, but they always have coated strings because I only use them for 6-7 songs max.

We play between four and six hours and I leave a lot of sweat and gunk all over the body and neck. Wiping between sets or even between songs and using FastFret also doesn't prevent the oxidation.

Are there any players who use coated strings to get more milage while also having clean and slick strings every time?
