I‘m currently in college, just got my associates, and I’m considering all my options for my bachelors cause I really don’t have a clue what I like. So I saw this job posting and I was like wow that’s great money, 120-160k, and the work seems interesting, but this is the experience required:

“In addition to meeting the Basic Requirements above, applicants must also possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience MUST include all of the following:

• Providing briefings to government or other decision makers on complex weather, water or environmental events; and
• Conducting weather, water or environmental data analysis and operations in support of emergency response activities.”

Is this type of experience something you’re able to do out of college, or is it something you work for years up to?

Ive got my associates degree so I need to decide what I want to do with my life soon, and every single career I research the people in it hate it. Lawyer? They either make the same money they could’ve without law school debt or have no life. Air traffic control? Getting screwed by the government and work night shift 6 days a week for sometimes not great money. Actuaries? Hard af exams for boring work and the entry level jobs are non existent. Is there any career that people dont hate their lives in?

These are all the business majors at the college I’m going to. 14 different ones!! And they all seem so similar and intertwined. I figured once I finished my AA I would know what I want to do, but here I am 2 years later with zero clue. I have no life experiences so it’s tough to really know. All I really want is good job security (AI is scary) and decent pay. Any advice? I’ve also been thinking about doing a double major in statistics and econometrics since I can do it with no added time.

I didnt apply in time for the fall so I'm joining in the spring, I got my AA from HCC. I didnt know what I wanted to do for the longest time but now environmental engineering looks interesting to me. But in order for me to get the 3.0 gpa to go into the upper division for engineering without retaking classes I need an A on both gen chem and Physics 2. I'm not too worried about gen chem but physics scares me I barely got a B in physics 1 and that had hardly any calculus. Are the teachers good?

I‘m trying to wrap my head around this and I feel like they contradict. I‘ll review them from the inverted pov.

Freeport scene: Inverted protagonist starts to feel pain as they get closer, wound gets worse, he’s sucked in, fights himself, gets (un)knifed by TP, wound is healed.

Ending: Inverted Neil goes down, opens the gate, TP goes through, Neil closes the gate and locks (?) it, gets (un)shot, but he dies?

They both had an action done to them in forward time, but the reactions are different? Any insight?

I am asking because I am thinking of getting a Steam Machine. I love my Series X and it plays games like a high end PC and I don’t see how much the next generation could improve on it. But we obviously don’t get the PC ecosystem and games. Because of that, I think the combo of Series X and Steam Machine could carry me for like a decade if it’s supported. Series X for Game Pass, AAA games, and multiplayer games, and Steam Machine for everything else. What do you guys think? Or should I just wait for Helix?
