Post pick@home does not work because everything gets stolen

It’s a rant. I’m fed up.
Post introduced this wonderful service that makes sending packages so easy. You just leave the stuff in your postbox, and they come in the morning and pick it up. Payments are done online 👌🏻
It literally sounds perfect, except this is now the second Ricardo package that’s been stolen from my postbox before the postman could pick it up. You have to put it in before 7am, and the guy comes around 10/11.
I live on the border of Kreis 3 and 4 — pretty central. The first time, I thought, “Ugh, whatever, it was probably just a one-off.” Not anymore. Stuff is getting stolen to the point where I can’t use this service anymore.
I’m just sad and somewhat disillusioned.
Did anyone else noticed same tendencies? It’s not safe anymore to leave packages outside?

Mommies with high responsibility jobs, how do you do it all?

I have returned to work in January (7 months ago) when my LO was 9 months old, I had a mix of paid mat leave and a few months added unpaid.
I returned to work at 70%, with the idea that I keep my baby Monday and Friday at home and she goes to daycare Tuesday - Thursday when I work. This sounded like a perfect set up between me going back to use my brain, dressing up for the office, having interesting conversations but also reserve two days with my baby to see her grow up.
What happened in the meantime is that there were personnel changes and I somehow got a promotion, responsible for a department and quite high level reporting. I have been doing this new role for 3 months and I’m drowning.
I carry the mental load at home as I cover more days and do most of the pick ups, afternoons. As we are at home with the baby, I also do most of the housework, laundry, cooking - do definitely 80%ish on both. My impression is that a job with a team would need 100% attention, but I only have 70% to give, even less if we have illnesses or smth comes up with the baby. I just feel so depleted and I don’t feel like I have the mental capacity needed for the job to plan the work, goals, strategies for a department.
*Before it comes up, my husband also started a new job, it’s 100% and very well paid so I have been supporting him with doing all the home tasks so he can focus on a good start. This should balance out somewhat over time.

So a this point I’m wondering, is it me being a weak link and not able to be there at work and for my baby? How everyone else is doing it? Can you be a great leader as well as be there for the little one at home? I somehow feel like it’s my inadequacy that I’m struggling here and looking for some tips please.

Summer travel with babies

I’m flying with my 14 months old like i did many times before (24 times to be accurate).
She is a chill baby, I’m usually able to handle her and have a good time together. However I just wanted to say it’s still hard.
I know not every one and not every baby is ready/into traveling and I get why.
You’ll see me at the airport, while she looks around and waves at people, at the lounge having a pre departure lunch together, on the plane looking at her books and having a nap and it might look ok.
But I’m never not sweaty, hot and stressed. I still have to carry her and the stroller, diaper bag and my purse. I still have to navigate queues, security checks, diaper changes in small, dirty places. Still need to make sure she had enough food and drinks and a well timed nap.
It’s a lot every single time. I still do it, it’s worth for me to be at fun places, visit family and friends, have adventures.
BUT If you add an unhappy baby to the mix, a sensitive one who doesn’t like sounds or crowds or can’t nap in a carrier, I totally get why you would not put yourself through the whole thing.
Just writing this, because I was thinking how everything kinda went well today and I’m still exhausted, stressed and just had enough by the end. So even us frequent travelers have a hard time, it’s just maybe lightened a bit by a cooperative baby.
