I made a post a few hours ago happily explaining that my sister and dad found my very first DSi in my grandma's house! I have some updates after receiving it:

• It had quite a bit of dust/gunk on it. My grandma apparently had this stuffed in her closet in a box, but it didn't do much to protect it from her heavy smoking habits during that time.

• The battery is thankfully not swollen! I took it out and did the spin test and it did not spin. It even holds a charge!

• Upon turning it on, I immediately noticed some slight yellowing on the edges of the top and bottom screen. I am doing the "white screen fix" to undo the yellowing, which I heard takes a few days.

• There is a LOT of cosmetic damage that I had forgotten about. Super small bite marks along the edges of the top shell and the top screen are visible from when we had a small dog. I decorated it in stickers to make the damage less visible (and more personable)!

I am genuinely so happy to have this baby back. She has been through so much with me, and I plan on continuing our journey together - flaws and all!

So my sister and my dad are cleaning my grandma's house for her because she will be returning home on Tuesday after being in the hospital. In her closet, they found my old DSi XL with the original box, jumbo stylus, booklets/manuals, and a copy of NSMB. I am BEYOND STOKED.

I am definitely going to be cleaning it and making sure the battery isn't swollen before charging it. If it all works perfectly, I will transfer all of my games and saves to this device and giving my pink DSi to my sister so we can play together again :,)

Like yes, that is my baby. In fact, I gave birth to her and she is only one apple tall 👶

I also have a New 3DS I've put stickers on, but I already shared it in another sub. She's pretty old, but she still runs well 💙

It's not the best, but I really enjoy putting my favorite stickers on my handhelds :)
