Should I go to emergency vet?
Hi!
We adopted a female, 8month old siamese mix cat 4 days ago. The shelter let us know that she had been spayed 2 weeks ago, and when we brought her home, we noticed her spay incision didn’t look right. We took her to our normal vet 3 days ago, and they took her in for surgery same day to fix her stitches. They gave us pain meds and said she would be okay.
Fast forward to last night (3 days post op), and she is having diarrhea and vomiting. She has thrown up kibble, wet food (pate), and water. It seems like she just isn’t keeping anything down. She threw up just water earlier.
Is this a situation where I should take her to the emergency vet, or wait to see if her stomach improves? I’m not sure what is going on.
Important to note that she hasn’t been getting along with our resident cat, we JUST adopted her, and life has been crazy for her the last few days. (Also yes, we are keeping the cats separated now)
