My fiancee was just fired and I'm thinking about quitting

So... To start off I want to say I hate this company

I met my fiancee at Walmart when I started working there I've been thinking about quitting anyways to stay home with our daughter. My fiancee had to call out for a few days because I had emergency surgery 2 months after an emergency c section. I am not allowed to lift anything and I can't take care of her on my own so he put in for loa and they called today telling him it was denied because the fiancee isn't a close enough family connection. The only way to be approved is to be married or immediate family. I just have to say that is absolutely ridiculous.

My torso gets cut open twice in the span of 2 months and he gets denied leave is stupid. Not to mention we have our daughter 2 months ago and he only gets six weeks to bond with her is ridiculous. I got 16 weeks for maternity leave but fathers only getting six is so awful. It's not like I planned for 2 emergency surgeries but he got a call that he was fired not even a face to face conversation. He's been with this company for 5+ years. We were in the hospital and he got a call that he had too many points. They kept saying we have a business to run. He didn't even have enough time from being back from parentity to get PPTO and PTO. But he also lost is uncle before the emergency surgery and he took bereavement but got pointed for that as well. He showed a obituary and everything and he got pointed. We have had employees in our department that call out and leave early without PPTO everyday and are still there and there have been times where someone will come in and see what they were doing for the day and just leave so what's the point if they get to stay. I hate the way he has been treated. It's ridiculous.

What is the point of staying at a company that treats their employees like cockroaches. We are people not gum stuck to the bottom of your shoes. If you showed employees compassion you wouldn't have bad metrics.

I feel exhausted

My partner went back to work a couple of weeks ago and I've been taking care of bean alone till he comes home. Even when he comes home he is exhausted and he works a physically taxing job for hours on end. So when he comes home he is physically exhausted and in a lot of physical pain as well. When he comes home I want him to rest because he has to go to work and I don't. He helps with our daughter he changes diapers feeds her and is such a big help. I'm in no way saying he doesn't help because he does, he is my biggest supporter and I love him so much for it.

The reason why I feel exhausted is I hardly sleep I try to sleep when bean does but she doesn't stay asleep for long and I hardly feel rested. No matter how long I sleep I'm still tired and can't stay awake when I try to wake up. I can barely walk in a straight line. I constantly have headaches and double vision. I am so tired that my physical health feels like it's getting worse. I have had a really bad headache for almost 3 weeks now. Every time I think my headache is getting better it gets so much worse to where I am extremely dizzy and it hurts to close my eyes. I'm so exhausted I don't know what to do.

I love my girl so much I just wish she would sleep for longer than 10 minutes. She is cluster feeding as well so every time I feed her she is hungry 30 minutes later. I feel like I have no time for my needs because I want to be able to take care of her. I often neglect myself because I'm more focused on bean. I have some help from my family but my family works as well so I don't ask them to do much. I'm so tired and I'm crying because of the exhaustion. Everyday the headaches, the nausea, the dizziness, the double vision, and eye strain gets so bad. I constantly feel like I'm going to pass out I don't know what to do. I'm not here for advice I just needed to vent. I love my girl and my partner is amazing. I'm just so exhausted I knew this wasn't going to be easy raising a baby is a full time job to begin with but I'm so physically exhausted and nauseous.

I don't know how to provide for my baby

I hate this. I can't produce enough. She is constantly screaming for more food she is able to latch now but it feels like I'm running on empty. I had 30+ ounces in the fridge constantly now I'm barely producing anything. She latches for 20 to 30 minutes at a time. But I can't keep up. I feel like I'm failing. I have tried everything from lactation drinks lactation snacks all the way to liquid gold. I don't know what to do.

I came back to this subreddit for help with ideas for what can help with lactation and everyone didn't really help. My baby is 5 weeks old and 8 lbs and I feel like I can't provide for her and that's what I was afraid of when I found out I was pregnant. For as long as I can remember everything seems to go wrong no matter what. I love my baby girl so so much but it feels like nothing I do is enough. I hate that there is nothing I can do. We tried formula the other day and that made her so sick she kept spitting up so much. It kept pouring out of her mouth.

I feel like I'm failing at this and I'm not doing enough for her. I was so happy when she started latching again. That helped with production but now it's dipped again and I don't know what to do. I feel like I can't help her and I'm not a good mother. I love my baby and I just want to provide for her and do right by her. I feel like a complete failure of a mother because I can't provide and do everything she needs.

Has anyone else been through what I have. I went through a traumatic birth experience to bring her into this world and I wouldn't change anything because she is here and I am so happy. But I don't know what to do anymore. Someone please help me and give me some advice on anything. Milk supply, lactation, encouragement because it feels like nothing I do is enough. I always have felt like nothing I do is enough but ever since she was born its gotten so much worse. Please help me I don't know what to do anymore. I write these post because they help me cope with my emotions but sometimes I just feel so alone. I just want to be able to provide for my girl and watch her grow but right now I feel like a failure. So does anyone have any advice on anything because I don't know what to do anymore.

My baby prefers a bottle to my nipples. Update

Hey everyone it's me again

Link to my original post - https://www.reddit.com/r/NewParents/s/jsxDMVZy9l

When I first posted my baby was 5 days old and she preferred a bottle. And I also posted a couple other posts trying to get some help with my struggles as a new parent. My baby is turning 1 month old in a couple of days and she has already gotten so big. I have had struggles with milk production so that was one reason why I posted for advice on that, but that's not why I'm posting again because of the struggles with milk production I tried to get her to latch last night and she did. She ate for 20 minutes and I'm so proud. When I first posted I was so worried about her not bonding with me because I was afraid I couldn't breastfeed naturally, but she latched. I have been letting her latch today and she has been doing so well. She gets about 10 to 20 minutes each time. I still feed her from a bottle as well so my partner can feed her when I need some rest, but I'm so relieved.

Another update she is growing so well when she was born she weighed 6lbs 11ozs and at her 2 week check up she was 6lbs 15ozs, and I'm so happy she is growing so well. My baby girl means everything to me and I am so relieved she is doing amazing. Her pediatrician said she is growing perfectly. We go back to the pediatrician tomorrow so I get to find out how much she has grown since her last appointment. Also if anyone who has read my original post knows I had a chaotic and traumatic birth experience, but I'm also happy to mention I'm healing very well and my ob said I'm going to make a full recovery.

I'm still learning and having struggles as a new parent but I'm so relieved she is growing so perfectly. I couldn't be prouder I love her so much. Thank you to everyone who has given me advice and encouragement this subreddit has really helped when I needed it. I appreciate everyone who has commented I have read all of them and I greatly appreciate it.

Need help with milk production any advice helps

Hey I'm back again looking for some more advice. Any bit helps. I have to pump to feed my daughter and about a week ago I was producing more than enough I had about 30+ ounces in the fridge now I can barely produce much. I make barely 4 ounces every time I pump any advice on what can help with milk production. I was drinking Gatorade on a daily basis. And eating hasn't been a problem. Skin to skin with my daughter helped the other night with milk production.I have talked to a lactation consultant and she gave me a list of things to help with production. Has anyone else had this problem and what worked for you. I am going to buy more Gatorade and lactation cookies I was just wondering if anyone had any other things that helped them.

I don't want to leave my baby and go back to work.

Hello me again.

I have been doing better since I have figured out feeding. My baby girl is 2 weeks old now. She is already growing to fast. 🥹

Now onto the new issue I'm facing, I'm still on maternity leave and so is my partner. He goes back around the middle of next month and mine doesn't end for a few more weeks. I'm worried about when I have to go back to work. I really don't want to leave my girl alone. We have family who can take care of her while we are at work but I don't want to leave her side. Leaving her for a couple of hours to go grocery shopping kills me. At least when he goes back to work I'm still going to be with her. When we both go to work I don't know how I'm going to cope with being away from her for that long and that far away.

I miss her every second I'm not with her. I can barely take a shower without being worried about her. I want to stay by her side. I know I sound overbearing but I can't help it. I love her so much and she is my joy and I love her more than words describe. I just don't know how I am going to survive being that away from her for 8 hours a day 5 days in a row. Has anyone else felt like this after having their baby/babies. I hate being away from her I'm constantly worried about her. Her crying makes me super worried if I'm not next to her to soothe her. I just want to be beside her at all times. The love I have for her has taken over me to the point I can't stand being away from my beautiful baby. Does anyone have any advice on how to feel okay enough to go back to work after having a baby.

My baby prefers a bottle to my nipples. Any advice on feeding.

So I recently had my daughter she is 5 days old. Her birth experience was chaotic to say the least. The day I went into labor I had gone to my OB and gotten a membrane sweep and a few hours later labor started. I had gone to the hospital because ya know my contractions were 3 minutes apart and I was told by them to come back when that happened, and they had initially tried to send me home. But I basically refused because I live about 40ish minutes away from the hospital I delivered.

They had tried to say I was in early labor but I had followed their instructions from the previous visit. So they had admitted me and put me on pitocin to hopefully make my labor quicker. After they had put me on that I was barely dilated so they broke my water and my daughters heart rate showed her in distress. So my nurses had me keep swapping positions to see if that would help her calm down but every time they moved me she didn't like it. I was in labor for 21 hours and my water had been broken for over 4 hours so they decided to do a c section. My whole birth experience was a lot . And now I'm recovering and my daughter is here and healthy and she is beautiful. I never thought I could love someone more and my partner has been wonderful for my entire pregnancy and even before we were expecting.

Now on to the new issue we are facing on our journey as new parents. I have had struggles getting her to latch properly so I started pumping and bottle feeding my breast milk. I have had her checked for a tongue tie and the mid wives and lactation consultants and pediatricians have said she doesn't have one. When I had my daughter I was told that my nipples are small and she has a small mouth. So when I tried to breastfeed she didn't like latching to the right breast and prefers the left breast and I tried every hold in the new mama handbook. I do skin to skin at least once or twice a day and I have my husband do that as well.

She is doing so well at eating with the bottle now I'm worried she won't ever latch. I know that as long as she eats that is best. I prefer her to eat now she eats almost 2 ounces every 2ish hours. So is it at all possible for her to latch on later. I am a new mama and I am learning just like my daughter is. I don't mind only bottle feeding her my breast milk, but I'm just scared that we aren't bonding enough. So I was posting here to get any advice from experienced parents.
