Here are the results of the poll after being up for a week.
Idk what can be gleaned from this other than the fact theres a lot of people sticking with 2.0.

Volkite is my favourite heresy era weapon type.
Put yours in the comments if you want.
Here's mine:
Volkite Kratos. Every time I see a Kratos it's a melta blast gun with 4 lascannons. It's kinda lame seeing everyone take the exact same Loadout, and only because it's extremely powerful. Variety is good, as is not meta gaming. Something I started taking for rule of cool is a volkite cardanelle, volkite culverin sponsons and 3 autocannons. It turns out that when you don't take the melta blast gun, your opponent tends to leave the Kratos alone lmao. It tends to stay alive for either the whole game or for at least 3 turns, running around churning up infantry. Also it looks cool.
Hell yeah
I am trying to strike a balance between it being strong and thematic. This list might have too much armour 14, but it is a 4500 pt list so I'm unsure. I definitely want one Spartan for vulcan, and 10 Firedrakes. The other Spartan is for my indomitus terminators I have laying around unused so I may as well put them in my salamanders. I figure a post Istvan V salamanders army would use indomitus terminators because they're a shattered legion.
The librarian is a 40k Phobos librarian, I'm going to be using miliputt to sculpt the cloak over the legs and hide that they're Phobos.
The terminator is the captain from the leviathan box. He needs the most work, lots of filing etc. I'll be going over his cape with a layer of greenstuff and then I'll use a roller to make a volcanic pattern.
I played 40k from 5th up to 10th and quit during 10th. It's not my intention to make a post bagging on people who enjoy 40k, but I genuinely feel bad for 40k players who started in 8th, 9th or 10th and missed out on when the game was good, and represented the lore on the table. Heresy is the closest thing to the game I started playing when I was a 12 year old kid.
Excuse my paint covered hands.
Lore: They're some of the most experienced veterans of the legion, each squad member was born on Terra rather than Nostramo. When a squad member is inevitably killed, replacements are only drawn from Terran born legionaries. Terran born are a dying breed, and the attrition of the Thramas crusade ensured that this squad was eventually rendered combat ineffective and disbanded. They're all unhelmed, this was just to give them more personality as a bunch of old greybeards who cling to the traditions and tactics of the legion prior to the discovery of Curze on Nostramo.
I can't believe I've never posted these guys here before because they are one of my favourite kits to paint. I spent a long time on these guys. I'm about to start painting the remaining 10.
I'll go first, I keep it simple with a texture style paint to simulate rocks, debris and gravel, painted with grey, drybrushed with lighter grey. I do this because it's quick and I have to paint A LOT of night lords lol. I also do this because in my experience playing 40k and 30k, most battles are in ruined cities, and I prefer when my minis bases match the board they're on.
Last slide has a secret evil guy.
99.999% of my heresy night lords have helmets, but this squad doesn't because I wanted to give them more character. They have bronze trim as well to further separate them.

It's a lot of fun coming up with nostraman writing to put on my models.
I posted this guy months ago but I was never happy with how he looked so here's the updated paint job.
I've played a few games with Big E, and so have some of my friends. People in my local heresy community had a lot of input into ideas for writing The Emperor's rules. I'd like to share them with everyone in case you're doing a narrative game or something fun involving the Siege of Terra or Ullanor. I tried to write the rules to be in line with how the rulebook and Libers write them to make it less confusing, I would also like to mention that I did not use any kind of generative ai in creating this. Feel free to save this, and modify it if you like. I am not sure if reddit allows you to share word documents on here so I've posted screenshots. DM me if you'd like a word document or PDF.
