My ‘14 charger r/t trunk won’t close. It will just bounce off of the lock even with the actuator open it seems to be not locking? I took some videos of inside the trunk to see if something was un aligned but it looks like the latch goes right over the hook but just won’t lock. What could be the issue?

Someone messaged me this morning and over my lunch I opened my phone to an account that I don’t follow but goes to a college 45 mins away from me told me they saw my gf in tinder. My stomach dropped and I couldn’t eat after that. Should I wait another 5 hours to confront her about this and find proof? It’s eating me up inside
