Here are my recent scores for reference:

  • SSC CGL Mains 2025: 135/135
  • SSC CHSL Pre 2025: 50/50
  • SSC CGL Pre: 45/50

1. Grammar (Start Here)

According to me, beginners should always start with building a strong foundation in grammar. Here is how I did it:

  • Core Concepts: I used Aman Sir’s paid batch to complete my syllabus.
  • Immediate Practice: Right after finishing a chapter, I solved chapter-wise questions and gave sectional tests to lock in the concepts.
  • Book Practice: Once the basics were clear, I practiced mixed questions from books like Kiran, Pinnacle, or Aman Sir's book.
  • Deep Understanding: After finishing Aman Sir's videos, I highly recommend the Qeng YouTube channel. It is brilliant for deep understanding and high-level practice.
  • Mock Tests: For overall practice and speed, rely entirely on Testbook.

2. Vocabulary

Vocabulary takes time, so consistency is the key.

  • Primary Source: I followed the Kiran publication book.
  • Daily Target: I did exactly 25 questions daily. Do not just memorize the answers; learn the words and their exact meanings.
  • Coverage: Make sure you complete all the chapters: One Word Substitution (OWS), Synonyms, Antonyms, and Idioms & Phrases.
  • Retention Trick: Read relevant articles daily. When you see the words you just memorized being used in actual sentences, you will never forget them.

3. Reading Comprehension

This section tests your understanding, and you cannot master it without a daily reading habit.

  • Daily Routine: I followed the English Madhyam website. They provide free daily editorials along with tests based on them. Do this religiously.
  • Extra Reading: To build a better reading habit, read articles in English newspapers or even NCERT books if you find newspapers too difficult initially.

Once you are done with all these three pillars (Grammar, Vocab, RC), scoring perfect marks in English is purely a game of practice and mock tests. Keep analyzing your mistakes.

If you still have any doubts or need help with your preparation, feel free to drop a comment or DM me. All the best!

You write your future one empty pen at a time. Behind every "I cleared it" post is a graveyard of ink and silent breakdowns. Here is mine.

They say hard work pays off, and here is my physical proof. When I started my SSC preparation, I was just an "average" student. The syllabus was huge, and the competition was terrifying.

I made a habit of keeping every pen I completely used up.

To others, it’s just plastic garbage. To me, it’s thousands of math calculations, endless GK notes, late-night mock tests, and moments of self-doubt that I pushed through.

To everyone still grinding: Consistency beats talent every single time. Don't stress about the low mock scores right now. Keep your head down, keep practicing, and empty those pens.

70+ hours/week. That’s the price of the dream.

Looking back, it’s a reminder that results don't happen by accident.

Consistency beats intensity every single time, but sometimes you need a bit of both. I was looking back at my study logs from my Mains preparation phase.

Hitting 70-75 hours a week isn't easy. It requires sacrifice, discipline, and a lot of inner motivation. But looking at these numbers now, I know every single minute was worth it.

To whoever is reading this: Don't give up. The burnout is real, the pressure is heavy, but you are capable of more than you think. Keep your eyes on the prize. You’ve got this!

Bored tha toh NTPC ke math sectional mocks diye... surprisingly full marks aa gaye!

Aaj thoda free tha aur bore ho raha tha, toh time pass ke liye socha NTPC ke math sectional mocks attempt kar leta hoon.

Honestly, didn't expect much, but ended up hitting full marks in all of them.

SSC really said “start again”

Ek notification kya aata hai, pura revision plan hi change ho jata hai 😭

Kabhi syllabus tension, kabhi pattern change discussion, kabhi cutoff fear…

SSC preparation is literally adapting every month 💀
