  • am dezinstalat câteva update-uri recente de Windows;
  • am folosit AMD Cleanup Utility;
  • am reinstalat AMD Adrenalin aseară;
  • am făcut stress test la CPU și GPU;

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • Motherboard: ASUS TUF B650 Plus
  • GPU: XFX Radeon RX 9070 XT Swift Triple Fan – 16GB GDDR6
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB DDR5 6200MHz CL32, Dual Channel
  • Storage: SSD WD SN5000 4TB NVMe Gen 4.0
  • PSU: Delta MK850 – 850W, 80+ Gold
  • Cooler: 1st Player TS4 LCD 360 ARGB
  • Case: Pro Gaming Banshee Black

Aș aprecia orice sugestie: setări AMD Adrenalin, Windows, BIOS, drivere, power plan, overlay-uri, limitatoare de FPS, bug-uri cunoscute etc.

Mulțumesc!

Games capped at 15FPS for 2 days already

Hi everyone,

I’m having a strange issue with my PC and I would really appreciate some help, especially from people who have dealt with similar AMD/Radeon problems.

Yesterday evening and the evening before that, when I tried to play CS2 or PUBG, the games were basically stuck at around 15 FPS. The issue appears as soon as I enter the game.

So far, I have already tried several things:

  • uninstalled some recent Windows updates;
  • used AMD Cleanup Utility;
  • reinstalled AMD Adrenalin last night;
  • stress-tested both the CPU and GPU;
  • from my point of view, all hardware components seem to be fine.

However, the issue is still happening.

The weird part is that last night, after around 2 minutes of staying in the game, the FPS suddenly went back to normal and the game started running properly. But if I quit the game and launch it again, the problem comes back and I’m stuck at around 15 FPS again.

I also noticed something regarding temperatures. My CPU usually stayed around 53-55°C in these situations, but now it seems to go higher, around 61-63°C. I’m not sure if this is relevant or just a coincidence.

All fans seem to be working properly. However, it feels like the GPU starts ramping up or “waking up” later than usual after entering the game.

I’ve read some posts on Reddit and noticed that I’m not the only one having a similar low-FPS cap issue, but unfortunately I haven’t found a clear solution yet.

My very important question is: if I leave the PC like this for now until I find a solution, is there any chance that something could get damaged at the hardware level? Could this cause issues with the GPU, CPU, or other components if the game sometimes starts stuck at 15 FPS?

My PC specs are:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • Motherboard: ASUS TUF B650 Plus
  • GPU: XFX Radeon RX 9070 XT Swift Triple Fan – 16GB GDDR6
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB DDR5 6200MHz CL32, Dual Channel
  • Storage: WD SN5000 4TB NVMe Gen 4.0 SSD
  • PSU: Delta MK850 – 850W, 80+ Gold
  • Cooler: 1st Player TS4 LCD 360 ARGB
  • Case: Pro Gaming Banshee Black

Any suggestions would be appreciated: AMD Adrenalin settings, Windows settings, BIOS, drivers, power plan, overlays, FPS limiters, known bugs, etc.

Thanks!
