I’m a 24 year old looking to possibly make a switch into a financial career. I have 2 years experience in a SaaS business development role and have been in my current role as a medical device sales rep for a year. I have a business administration degree from a state university but it’s no where close to a target school so I don’t see the possibility of getting into PE or IB which is completely fine with me. I also have an internship from the summer after graduating high school with a local bank where I did municipal bond analysis but I doubt this would make much of a difference in breaking in. My biggest question would be what sector would be the best to transition into and also is this realistic?

What is the likelihood of being able to go into a different specialty at a position higher than associate with 1 year of ortho experience and some previous SaaS experience? Trying to figure out what I’d be a good candidate for, I’m currently looking to get in with Boston scientific.

I’m looking to go away for a 3 night getaway on the west coast of Florida. I don’t want to go much farther south than Sarasota and also want a nicer hotel (around mid 500s a night) that is as far from touristy as possible (ik that’s a big ask lol). If anyone has recommendations I would greatly appreciate it.

Anyone know about this company? Recently was contacted by a recruiter for a role with them but Glassdoor doesn’t look too good. It would be a wound care role so that’s why I’m still interested since this seems to be the buzz. Any insight would be great.

With the recent lawsuit in 2024 does anyone know how hard the BD Davol department got hit? Knowing what you do would you recommend working in that area for BD?

Does anyone know the gist of what’s sold for this speciality? I’m kind of ignorant to this side of device and I looked at their portfolio but I’m not really sure how lucrative the products are. They have an associate position available but I’m not sure I want to make a horizontal career change unless this speciality has good potential for pay and good work life for this industry.
