possible spreader tool?

Please help me identify a tool - it may or may not exist. I find the easiest way to undo stitches is to pull the two pieces of fabrics apart, and with enough tension, I take a sharp razor blade and all I need is a light tap and it cuts through the stitches like hot knife through butter.

However, my problem is I would have to hold the two pieces of fabrics apart with my left land fingers, and it is really bad for my arthritis. The only alternative I can come up with so far is to step on one end of the fabric with my foot and pull the other piece with one hand. Or, sometimes I am able to hook one end to a wall or something, but it's not always possible.

I'm wondering if there is a tool that can hold two pieces fabric apart, with tension. Kind of like a spreader / hemostat for fabric. Googling does not return good results. No, I'm not looking for a seam ripper. TIA

I've been wanting to walk the big cypress trail for a while now (the one that originates from big cypress visitor center and ends on I-75). I'd like to do it in two days with an overnight, I see on the map there are a couple of camps, historic popenhager camp, Oak Hill Camp. Has anyone hiked this trail / overnighted? I have no idea what I'm getting into other than mosquitoes, pythons, gators. Anything else I should know/prepare? Hammock vs tent? Dog or no dog? TIA
