Need help building a solid routine for my High Porosity short afro. On a budget!

Hey everyone,

I'm 16 years old and I began my hair growth journey in January 2026. I have high porosity hair, and at the moment its short afro.

My hair is high porosity, and I can't seem to get a good routine going as it is very moisturizing. I am a little overwhelmed with layering and not wanting to flake and/or build product, and also on a budget at the moment so wanting to work with what I have.

My current stash is:

Gels and oils: Aunt Jackie's Don't Shrink Flaxseed Gel and African Pride 5 Essential Oils;

tools: Hair steamer blow dryer attachment, wide tooth comb, metal pick, satin bonnet, and satin pillowcases;

shampoos: Aunt Jackie's Oh So Clean (Moisturizing) and As I Am Curl Clarity (Clarifying);

conditioners: Cantu Hydrating Conditioner and Aunt Jackie's Coco Repair Deep Conditioner;

leave-ins/creams: Aunt Jackie's Quench (Leave-in), Creme of Nature Strength & Shine Leave-In Spray, Aunt Jackie's Curl La La.

I follow a hair youtuber called Tarik laroda and it has helped a ton with growth.

The main questions I want to ask you guys:

Deep conditioning once a week and the pre-shampoo each wash day, is this a good option?

How would you use these products in a weekly LCO/styling regime to avoid flakes/dryness?

Any tips, tweaks, and/or advice from one who has mastered high porosity hair would be amazing. Thanks in advance!

16 Y/O GK who needs Significant Help

Good evening guys. I am a 16 year old goalkeeper preparing for a chance to play for an under-19 team in the near future. During the season, i have been playing terribly, conceeding over 15 goals in only 8 matches, I am poor in quite a lot (Diving, 1v1, Crossing situations) and I constantly have a barrier in language with my teammates since I play in the netherlands and I speak english. I'm almost in my off-season and I want to prepare really well, from July until the beginning of the season (around August/September) so I can be in 100% shape physically and technically when I start. I am 162cm in height and 62kg in weight and am aware that in order to perform at a high level, I need to be strong, fast and be technically precise. I am training completely on my own and have 10 cones, an agility ladder, 2 footballs and my gloves. I would greatly appreciate suggestions and ideas on how to best organize a solo training session that will last around 60 to 90 minutes. If anyone can give me any advice for the weekly timeline I would be grateful. GOD Bless✝️
