Discord Remote Tournaments for european Players ?
Hey everyone!
I’m thinking about creating a Discord server dedicated to Yu-Gi-Oh! Remote Duels and tournaments via webcam, mainly aimed at European players — especially Italian players.
The reason I’m considering this is pretty simple: there seem to be very few (if any) active European communities specifically focused on organized Remote Duel tournaments.
Most of the servers I’ve found are US-based, which makes participating in tournaments quite inconvenient for European players because of the time-zone difference.
The project would also be developed in collaboration with an Italian board game/Comic shop/TCG shop, which could help with the organization of tournaments and, potentially, with prizes for future events.
The idea would be to organize regular webcam tournaments through Discord, with things like:
- 🇪🇺 European-friendly tournament times
- 🎥 Webcam Remote Duels
- 🏆 Organized tournaments
- 💰 Potential prizes
- ⚖️ Judges / proper tournament rules
- 📊 Standings and tournament organization
- 🇮🇹 Potentially a strong Italian player base, while still being open to all European players
At this stage, I’m not trying to advertise an existing server (i mean the server is up but still need a bit of work and also a bit of testing)— I’m just trying to figure out whether there is actually enough interest to make something like this worthwhile.
So, how many European players would actually be interested in joining and playing in regular Discord Remote Duel tournaments?
