Warwick vs Bocconi for Investment Banking in London – need advice
Hi everyone,
ps: ı am intl student non eu
I’ve been fortunate to receive offers from University of Warwick (Accounting & Finance) and Bocconi University BIEF.
My long-term goal is to work in **investment banking in London**, and I’m trying to decide which university would give me the best shot.
I’ve already visited Warwick and really liked the campus and the strength of the program. However, I’m a bit concerned about the location — it feels quite small, and I’m not sure how I’d feel spending 3 years there socially.
On the other hand, Bocconi is in Milan, which seems like a much more vibrant city. But I’m unsure about how strong Bocconi is for placing students into London investment banking compared to Warwick.
So I’d really appreciate any insights on:
How strong is Bocconi for breaking into **London IB**?
Do Bocconi graduates commonly place into top banks in London, or mostly in Italy/Europe?
How does Warwick compare in terms of recruitment, networking, and internship opportunities?
Would going to Bocconi put me at a disadvantage vs a UK target/semi-target like Warwick?
Overall, which would you choose for my goal?
Thanks a lot in advance!
