I have the Uk first pressing of this record and I find it sounds muddled. maybe I am too used to listening to it on digital but the record feels a bit disappointingly muddled. Anyone else feel the same?
I bought the 12 inch first UK press of the perfect kiss. wow it hits hard. So punchy!! Sounds amazing. I also own the 2023 repress but the first press is something special.
Got me thinking, wouldn’t a 12 inch record of Temptation using the original master tapes, side A the original Temptation and side b the substance temptation. How incredible would that be??????
I am looking for some help authenticating a Violator German first press.
The runout etchings are tough to read but state:
DMD 2772 A-2/2-90 II (Roman numeral is etched by hand while longer code is computer or typed)
DMM 2772 B-3/3-90 (no Roman numeral after the computer typed code)
it has the base clef embossed on side B inner ring of the label.
The cover looks very similar to discogs. it is shiny.
Anything else I should look for to authenticate and would a counterfeit have all these details? Thank you in advance for any help
