Heavily status driven environments as an ENTP, what are your thoughts or experiences?

I had a trial work day at a markting-consulting agency, and oh boy did they leave an impression. I would describe the company culture as something like Wolf of Wall Street minus the drugs and the prostitutes, but who knows it was only one day.

Suits, expensive watches and a parking lot full of super cars. You could tell they are unapologetically status driven. Questions about personal goals felt more like which materialistic dream do I wanna fulfill myself if have the necessary money. My supervisor said the only thing that makes her endure 12 hour days, is basically her next lifestyle upgrade.

I liked the work though, I was in E-commerce and I really felt challenged and my desire tho understand and master these different skillsets kicked in. I mean it's not like I dislike hard work.

However the culture felt like a trap. Set yourself materialistic goals, and try to keep up with your colleagues.

Have you ever experienced that kind of cultures, and what are your thoughts?

For me personally I exclusively see the downsides if I imagine myself owning a supercar.
