How is this community so full of creatives who don't understand subtext?

The show is absolutely jam-packed with double meaning, metaphors, subtext, and scenes representing something deeper and its an absolute treasure-trove to go through and piece together the deeper meaning.

I also adore how the show doesn't immediately jump to confirming it like "Oh! This happened and this happened, which means this!" like other shows do. It actually leaves you to sit and think about it, the subtle nods themselves are the only true confirmations.

Even past Jax being trans, which a good chunk of the community still somehow is like "What?? No!" Even if you look past Goose confirming it herself, and GLITCH.

It almost feels like its telling to the current landscape of media and depth in its viewers. There's loads of people who got it, but there's also loads of people who are only looking at the surface.

Which is fine! Its an absolutely amazing show even if you only focus on the main plot or whats on screen or readily apparent. I've always adored the concept of "Stuck in the digital world" and this show has a really unique premise behind it.

But I mean... come on, subtext has existed in media for fucking centuries, millennia now if you look at poems and literature, and with everything feeling spoonfed nowadays with no real hunting for meaning, to finally have a show with some subtext and layers, only to be shit on by the people who were crying for that same depth in media?

...All this aside, I know "Enjoy the show" regardless and I do, and I enjoy the fandom, creations, apparent fanons, and community all the same, but it can be frustrating at times when it feels like I can't conversate with people in the community because they apparently watched an entirely different show.

I also know this post has been made like, 1000 times over now.

A running theory on the Serotonin receptors

Hey y'all. HPPD afflicted for about 7 years now.

Psychedelic history of 5 LSD trips (3 of which were mixed with cannabis), and one mushroom trip. Tons of cannabis use.

I experience visual snow, tracers, floaters, and after images most frequently. Dpdr is still a common feeling for me though this has subsided too.

I've tried a number of different things, such as the classic anecdotal medications such as Lamotrigine, Mirtazapine, etc. None of which really seemed to help. Mindful meditation has been the most effective along with time.

So the theory: We know that psychedelics (lysergamides especially) bind incredibly well to our bodies 5HT2 serotonin receptors, so much so that they will actually hold almost a "priority pass" when taking psychedelics.

My wording may be sloppy as I don't know the specific pharmacokinetic properties at the receptor level specifically, buuuut.. what if our receptors now have difficulties in processing and handling serotonin after psychedelics? Maybe not in terms of them being "fried" or anything catastrophic like that but dampened?

Can I reference local graffiti in an album cover?

I'm working on an album cover right now for a project I'm working on and I'm trying to think of little easter eggs and things to add to it.

If I were to put like, Skabs' tag on the side of a house in the album artwork, do y'all think that would be acceptable since its technically work done on public property? Or would that be considered as Skabs likeness/intellectual work?

93 AC Problems

I think this tag works?

Anywho, 1993 Honda Prelude S, know the 4th gen, love the 4th gen, hate the common problems, such as the AC.

Back when I first started trying to diagnose and fix it I ended up resoldering the joints at the rear plug of the AC control panel and that got the AC button to work along with others.

When the car is on and I hit the A/C button, I hear it engage and idle up to compensate for the compressor, but the air still blows warm. Last I checked the refrigerant it was at a good level.

It also has the problem of not switching vents but I just want it to blow cold and hopefully not make me overheat lol. These 90° weeks in Texas are brutal without AC and im kind of lost in terms of A/C systems in cars.

Advice?

Guadalupe County voted in favor of a $500 Million tax abatement for CloudBurst to build a 10-12 building AI Data Center campus

Cloudburst Data Centers secures incentives for $14B project between Austin and San Antonio

Guadalupe County OKs data center tax abatements, development agreement

Having grown up in Guadalupe County, and seeing the ecological damage already being experienced by small communities as a result of AI Data Centers across the country and Texas, I got into contact with the Guadalupe County Commissioners Office to voice my concerns over the project. I had received a call back from Kyle Kutscher, County Judge, who spoke with me about the data centers.

He explained to me that the Data Centers would run off of Natural Gas powered generators which would be used to power Fuel Cells to store power, and would be air cooled. If not properly filtered or exhausted, the use of Natural Gas powered turbines could lead to things such as formaldehyde, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), benzene, toluene, xylenes, and others to pollute the area. No specifics were necessarily given by CloudBurst on how they would go about handling the emissions.

After asking about the cooling for the data centers, Mr. Kutscher described to me how CloudBurst presented them with Closed-Loop Water Cooling Systems. Over the phone, he exclaimed how water would be brought in from neighboring suppliers from various areas and would be a one time fill up with a yearly top-off for evaporation. The metrics for this Data Center project that a total of 1.2-1.4GW of power would be required for the Data Centers, CloudBurst reports that a total of 7.2 Million Gallons of a cooling solution of Water and Propylene Glycol (treated with anti-corrosives undisclosed) would be used, Mr. Kutscher said that CloudBurst didn't describe safeguards in the event of leaks or containment.

Furthermore, in a document I will share here with the people of the community for the sake of corporate transparency, Rain Water Runoff Catchments are meant to be instilled as well for water collection, which would pull from nearby soilbeds and further damage ecology.

The Campus is predicted to run at a constant humming of 85 Decibels at 10ft away. There will be 10 - 12 buildings all emitting this hum, loud enough that prolonged exposure to such from a close distance could lead to hearing damage. Wildlife would vacate the area as well due to the impact.

In a document I will share here with the people of the community, all of CloudBursts metrics and data are listed and described. The numbers of which, for some of the criteria, dont necessarily match with what will need to be consumed vs what will be used. Under "Environmental Impact", it is said that it would be equivalent to 24,000 gallons of water a day. In a QnA, transcribed by CloudBurst, likely with AI assistance, we see a member of the community point out this metric, to be answers with what felt like corporate jargon 101 responses.

Mr. Kutscher described how pro-developer Texas is, so when developers come into small counties and communities, they effectively have no real say or pushback, and have a 30 day window to accept developer projects, or else it gets approved automatically. Although Kyle Kutscher voted in favor of the $500 Million tax break for CloudBurst to operate in the county.

$500 million dollars in Tax Abatements for a $14.2 Billion dollar AI Data Center project, for a poised 480 jobs. In an area that isnt necessarily known for its booming tech industry. Many areas in the region are low income, with much of the nearby industry being blue-collar or service.

I share these in good faith that the people of Guadalupe County will see them, and question their local officials on why we're allowing these corporations to come in and potentially RUIN our environment.
