Many here have been fooled and sent this couple money. This couple (posting separately as "single mother" and "single dad") are known scammers named Estella and Daniel, based in the Irving area of DFW. They have been doing this on and off for over a year. They do not currently have custody of the children. The MO is to get people to send them money for her and Daniel to actually live off of and purchase frivolities. If you have had contact with them, please feel free to PM me and I can provide you contact to report (many of you have already, thank you).

UPDATE: Both Estella and Daniel have deleted their spam accounts tied to these post since I posted this, but they will be back. Daniel has made at least 15 accounts in the last 2 months alone. Daniel even posted on this post with a 1 month old account suggesting this post calling them out is AI (see in comments iambatman)...they underestimate the communities who monitor their illicit activity.

I encourage you to share on FB and NextDoor as they target both of these platforms as well, and often those communities are even more vulnerable to scams.

These two think posting with "single mom" and "single dad" is their ticket to other people's money, your money. With your help, their "luck" is about to run out, and unsuspecting people's scarce resources can be spared from being squandered to their lies .

Hello! Ive been searching this subreddit endlessly for a restaurant for me and my partner’s anniversary. Haven’t found anything that really peaks my interest (or is still open). We did Valentine’s Day at Toro this year (based on this sub’s recommendation) and LOVED it. We really like trying new things, with food we don’t typically eat.

Did anyone see this? We were driving on 281 passing bitters at around 1/1:30 when a man with a suit case walked onto the highway. A woman was following behind him screaming, it looked like he was trying to get hit. Multiple cars had to swerve out of the way including mine.

My personal favorite is Jim's, and even after more than a decade of searching, I've never found anything else that even comes close.

I don’t have an insane budget or anything but we have to sell all of our current furniture to make the 2,000 mile drive.

I was going to the Main Library today, and saw a "Bibliotech" library on the way. I didn't know what it was and had never heard of it and tbh it kind of seemed like a private enterprise thing advertising and masquerading as free and public until I actually googled it.

I searched this sub and saw a few posts specifically about it, the last about a year ago. So I figured a PSA was in order today to let y'all know this is a legitimate free public library, all-digital, and I'm going to try to visit one soon to see what it's like. Seems they're mostly around downtown, wish they would expand their locations outward.

Hello, I'll be giving birth next year at Methodist. I understand they have two room options in the maternity ward - the standard which is covered by insurance and a suite that usually isn't.

I know the suites are bigger with a extra bed and im considering doing that so my fiance doesn't have to sleep on a recliner.

I was curious to know what everyone did and if they upgraded to a suite was it worth the price and if so how much was it?

Also if we do a regular room can we bring a air mattress?

So I usually take bottles of liquor to the homies when I travel to Korea. Usually locally made bourbon. It seems the Korean government has reduced the duty free limit to only 2 liters which leaves me 2 bottles short or paying the duties. Something like an extra 200 bucks.

Searching for alternatives. I was thinking something like locally grow/roasted coffee or other processed prepared foods.

Any ideas?

I am looking for a dining room table but I do not want to spend a bunch of money since I live alone. I have tried some consignment stores and other places but that wasn't successful. Is there anyone one satx that has a small business and/or refurbishes furniture on the side? I'm not looking for brand new stuff but clean and in good shape. I have a bigger area so I'd like a table for about 6-8 people.

I don't have a specific budget, just trying to find the right table.
