Need a Uniquely Texas Gift Idea

So I usually take bottles of liquor to the homies when I travel to Korea. Usually locally made bourbon. It seems the Korean government has reduced the duty free limit to only 2 liters which leaves me 2 bottles short or paying the duties. Something like an extra 200 bucks.

Searching for alternatives. I was thinking something like locally grow/roasted coffee or other processed prepared foods.

Any ideas?

What's an Apartment Dweller Supposed To Do?

Been lurking for a long time and not gotten back into working on my own vehicle because I live in an apartment and don't have access to a water source. And they have a strict no car washing policy. I see all of you attaching foam cannons and prewash and iron remover and all this. Best I can do is hand wash at the car wash.

Are there any products that would assist with using some of these standard techniques at the car wash?

Im thinking its a long shot finding products that wouod attach to the car wash pressure sprayer. Best I could come up with is my Dewalt power washer and even then I'd probably have to rig up the bottle myself.

Is hand washing about as good as I can get?

This Fish Has a Death Wish

I'm out on the dock and I wanna target flatheads. I bait up my bait getter pole with a tiny hot dog cube. Drop it in, pull out a bluegill. This is the perfect size I think to myself. Just what I was looking for. I hook him just behind the dorsal and cast him out on a float rig. Wind picks up and line gets stuck in submerged vegetation. I get the rig back but the bluegill has come off. Hope he survives, I say to myself. Like the old days when the rope breaks during a hanging and the convict goes free and clear.

About 2 hours later I need a new live bait. Hot dog, bait getter pole, same exact location, another bluegill. Perfect size I think. Exactly what I'm looking for. I go to hook him behind the dorsal and HE HAS A FRESH HOLE THROUGH HIS BACK. I had caught the same bluegill I used for live bait a couple hours earlier.

One Stick of Ram Disappearing

So I load up the game that I play and I start getting the jitters. Both sound and video become jittery and less playable. Ive discovered that at some point my computer has stopped recognizing one 16GB stick of DDR5. My total ram goes from 32GB to 16GB.

All components in this machine are new. Specs below.

I'm running Debian. I use CPU-X to see the specs and performance.

I started with a restart but that didn't solve it. I repeated the module and it seems to resolve the issue.

Asrock Taichi 870E MB

Asrock Taichi RX 7090 XT

AMD Ryzrn 7 9850X3D

Asrock Steel something 1000W 80 Plus Gold

Corsair Vengeance 32GB 6000 CL36 kit

Where do I start with diagnosing this issue? I've been out of the game for a long while and I'm not really strong on Linux.

North Austin Fishing Spots?

Hey all. I need to take a trip up from San Antonio to noelrth Austin to buy something. About an hour and 45 minutes. I'm trying to justify the trip. Does anyone know of any convenient spots to drop a line or two in that area or between here and there?

Never Ripening Tomatoes?

My Patio Choice red and yellow plants went crazy and produced hundreds of great cherry tomatoes pretty quickly. They seem to be getting towards end of life though and the current batch won't seem to ripen. They've gotten real ripe around the globe but the stem area remains yellowish. They also don't taste nearly as good as the earlier batches. If I leave them on the plant the get soft and burst/crack.

Is this normal behavior for determinate plants?

Live bait for flatheads real?

Is there really a better catch rate for flatheads with live bait vs others? You hear that all the time but is there any actual hard evidence supporting this?

I fish at one of my main lakes specifically to catch the records. I've got the channel cat record and I've caught a 45ish pound flathead before I had a certified scale. Caught him twice, neither time on live bait. I need to catch him again now that I can submit for records and I'm wondering if it would be worth it to put live Bluegill on both of my rods.

What do you think?

What are these fuzzy creatures?

We have these hairy little guys all over the place right now. Central Texas. They are hanging on all the vertical surfaces as well all over sidewalks and such. They appear to be segmented and they inch along kinda like caterpillars. They are responsive to touch but not shy.

Trips Solution for Indoor Plants

Any suggestions for conveniently dealing with pests on indoor plants? I'm talking indoor as in inside my apartment, not a greenhouse.

I've successfully used neem oil for all my outdoor plants for a couple years. Soaking top and bottom of leaves. Works great. But trying to do the same with my indoor plants is problematic. Even with very controlled spraying you get neem oil all over the lights, growing surface, floor, etc... I changed tactics to spraying a cloth glove and rubbing into plant tissue but that takes a considerable amount of time.

Any usable solutions not requiring releasing insects or bacteria/fungus in my house? If there was a way to atomize neem oil and blow it like smoke on my plants that would be awesome.

Sometimes, quite sporadically, I seem to have multiple column references within the app. By that I mean the same column seems to be identified by two different names within code.

For example if I have a column "Column1" and use that in a Patch for example, it doesn't post to the datasource. But in the intellisense I also have a "Column10". Thats not a Column"Ten" but a Column"Zero."

And if I select that column it displays in the code as 'Column1 (Column10)'

Can someone explain to me why it does this? No duplicate column ever existed in the datasource. Why is Powersapps seemingly assigning an alias to a column? And why does it feel super random?

Debian 13 using Cinnamon.

All keys work natively but when I use TigerVNC to another machine the keyboard stops recognizing most of the keys along the bottom of the keyboard e.g. shift, control, alt.

Installed the DayZ game which kinda runs through a translation layer to work on Linux and the same keys are not recognized in the game.

Tried multiple keyboards with no improvement. Multiple USB ports.

I switch to KDE Plasma and the issue goes away. All keys recognized on remote system over vnc as well as in game.

To rule out Cinnamon as a whole I grabbed another computer, vnc to the target, and no issue. Same Debian 13 and same Cinnamon. All keys are captured on remote system without issue.

So it appears to be an issue on one specific machine just on the one desktop environment. I really do prefer Cinnamon over Plasma and would like to troubleshoot but Im just not good enough with Linux yet to fix it.

Any advice?

▲ 2 r/dayz

My left shift key, and a few others around it, are not being recognized in dayz. They work fine outside the game. In the key binding screen they are just not recognized. Nothing happens when I press them.

This is on official and modded servers, as well as from the main screen before joining a server.

Running the game in Linux and I've been able to get everything else working.

All my search results involve key bindings being wrong or left shift being stuck. Doesn't see to be my issue. Any clues?
