Bare root peonies, is this gall?

I’ve been patiently growing peonies, last year I started with 3 bare root plants, added more this year, then decided to do a few more bare root in an area I’m in no rush to see grow. I was excited to see the eyes, but then noticed this. Is it a type of gall?

Beaufort vs Bedale for my husband?

My husband is a bigger guy, 5’10”, wears a XXL shirt usually, and I’d like to get him a Barbour for his birthday. A local store has the Beaufort in stock in his size, and Orvis has the Bedale in stock.

I’m not really familiar with the Beaufort, I always had the Bedale since it’s perfect for riding. My husband does not ride horses. 🐴
