Hey everyone,

I'm a CS student from India and I built

ApplyNest after getting tired of the same

painful routine every morning:

Wake up → open Internshala → open LinkedIn

→ open Naukri → open 7 company websites →

spend 2 hours → still miss deadlines.

Sound familiar?

WHAT APPLYNEST DOES:

Every night it automatically scans:

→ 10+ portals (Internshala, LinkedIn,

Adzuna, YCombinator, TheMuse + more)

→ 70+ company career pages directly

(Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Razorpay,

TCS, Infosys, ISRO, CERN, EPFL + 55 more)

Every morning at 7 AM you get ONE email

with all new internships matching your

skills, domain, and location.

That's it. No app. No daily checking.

Just one email every morning.

AFTER 13 DAYS:

→ 1,000+ scans completed

→ 250+ students using it

→ 500+ emails delivered

→ One student got 3 interview calls

in 3 days after signing up

It's completely free. Always will be

for the basic version.

Happy to answer any questions about

how it works

Hey r/IndiaStartups,

I'm Vansh, 3rd year CS student. This is my

first time sharing this publicly outside my

college circle.

THE BACKSTORY:

In my 3rd year I missed Amazon's internship

deadline by 3 days. Not because I wasn't

trying — because I was manually checking

10+ websites every single morning and still

couldn't keep up.

I got frustrated enough to build a fix.

WHAT I BUILT:

ApplyNest — it runs every night, scrapes

10+ job portals and 70+ company career pages

directly, then sends one personalised email

at 7 AM with everything new.

No app to open. No portal to check.

Just one email. Every morning. Automatically.

HONEST 13-DAY NUMBERS:

→ 1,000+ scans completed

→ 250+ students signed up

→ 500+ personalised emails delivered

→ One user got 3 interview calls in 3 days

→ Zero marketing budget spent

WHAT ACTUALLY WORKED:

Word of mouth inside hostels. Students

forwarding it to their friends on WhatsApp.

Nothing I planned — just people finding it

genuinely useful.

WHAT I'M BUILDING NEXT:

→ Better skill-based filters

→ Application tracker

→ Deadline reminders

→ Maybe a mobile app

HONEST QUESTION FOR THIS COMMUNITY:

For a free student tool — what's the right

way to monetise without ruining the product?

Free tier + ₹99 Pro? Placement agency

partnerships? College subscriptions?

Would love brutal feedback from founders

who've been here.

Hey,

Built something that might help people here.

ApplyNest — every night it scrapes 90+ sources while you sleep. Sends you one personalised email at morning with every new opportunity.

What it covers:

  • Internshala, LinkedIn, Adzuna, Freshersworld, YCombinator
  • Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Razorpay, Stripe, Airbnb, Hugging Face
  • ISRO, DRDO, PM Internship scheme
  • CERN, DAAD Germany, EPFL, ETH Zurich

Why I built it: Missed the Amazon internship deadline in my 3rd year by 3 days. Found out from a friend who'd already applied. Built this so nobody else has that moment.

6 days in: → 140+ signups → 400+ emails sent → One user got 3 interview calls in 3 days

Free. Zero setup. Link in comments.

Hey r/indianstartups,

6 days ago I launched ApplyNest — it automatically scans 90+ sources every night while you sleep and emails you personalised internships at 7 AM. Free.

Came back with an honest update.

6 days in:

  • 140+ students signed up
  • 400+ personalised emails delivered
  • 500+ scans completed
  • Users from IIT, NIT, VIT, BITS, DTU

Not viral. But real people, real product.

The moment that made it worth it:

One user messaged 3 days after signing up. He'd been job hunting for weeks with zero traction. ApplyNest started surfacing opportunities he didn't know existed — companies he wasn't checking, roles he didn't know were open.

3 days later. 3 interview calls.

I built this because I personally missed the Amazon internship deadline in my 3rd year. That message made the whole thing worth it.

Feedback received:

One user reviewed my actual codebase — flagged the API security handling as solid. Another requested a light theme toggle near the profile icon. Both going on the roadmap this week.

What's next:

  • Light/dark theme toggle
  • Telegram bot notifications
  • More company pages (suggestions welcome)
  • Smarter skill filtering

If you know an engineering student in their placement grind — link in comments. Completely free.

Happy to answer anything about the build or GTM 🙏
