Advice on using Logic Pro X for live performance
I usually play live using just my guitar and vocals but currently working on adding in backing tracks that I’ve made on Logic pro. These mostly include midi drums, keyboard, and some background vox harmonies. A little anxious about trying this for the first time so would really appreciate any advice or tips!
Would the best way to do this be mastering each song, and placing them all within one track on Logic, so I can press pause/play as I perform? Or should I export this to outside Logic and play it on my laptop’s local files?
I would also appreciate any tips on the mixing levels of these - should I still aim for the standard -18 - -12dBFS in the mix and then import each song to one long Logic track? And then the sound engineer can adjust as needed? I believe my laptop will just be connected to the PA with an aux. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated, thank you
