What do you think a *DC Super Hero Girls* Christmas special could be like?

I recently found myself thinking that the series has already had a Halloween episode but never a Christmas one—what do you think it would be like?

Alguns dos poucos gibis da abril que eu tenho

Recentemente voltei à colecionar gibis da turma da mônica, principalmente os da editora abril e globo.

Até o momento esse são os únicos da abril que eu tenho.

Does anyone else remember this?

I was rummaging through some old things at home and found this Woody Woodpecker comic book. What I found interesting, though, is that these aren't just standard comics created from scratch; they are comic-style versions of the original episodes, made simply by taking screenshots and adding speech bubbles.

From what I can see, I have 8 editions containing the episodes.

ration bored,

the loose nut,

the mad hatter,

wacky bye baby,

operation sawdust,

romp in a swamp,

southern fried hospitality,

pistol packin woodpecker,

tepee for two,

indian corn,

lonesome ranger,

peck of trouble,

lotsa luck,

woody's knight mare,

seal on the loose,

shanghai woody,

And sissy sheriff

I thought it would be interesting to post this here; I don't know if these comic books were released in countries other than Brazil, but I don't think they were.

What is your favorite DC Super Hero Girls graphic novel?

I have to admit that I only read *At Metropolis High* and *Weird Science* because they were the only ones I could find to buy in my country. I know *Powerless* was released here too, but unfortunately, I couldn't find a copy. And yes, I know there are sites where you can read them online, but I’m the type of person who likes physical copies—holding the book in my hands. Anyway, regarding my thoughts: the first one I read was *Weird Science*, and I absolutely loved it. I really enjoyed the main story, partly because I’m a big fan of Zee—though I like all the characters, so I guess it doesn't really matter. I also think the comedic moments hit just the right note. Unfortunately, I had the villain spoiled for me beforehand, which took the edge off the plot twist, but I still enjoyed it a lot. As for the art—my goodness, seriously—there were moments where it looked like they’d taken a screenshot from the animated series and dropped it straight into the comic, especially in the Karen and Jessica chapters. Even Diana’s chapter, which has an art style that doesn't look quite like the cartoon, has its own charm. I’d give it an 8/10.

But moving on to *At Metropolis High*, I have to say I was a bit disappointed. I think it’s because this issue focuses more on introducing the characters and the world they live in. (By the way, can someone clear something up for me? Is it just me, or does it seem like this comic was made before the show's final concept was locked in? There are several things here that differ from the final cartoon—like the school interior, including the cafeteria and hallways; Zee’s hair looking more blue than purple; the design of Karen’s suit when she shrinks; the fact that the principal never appears visually, with his voice only coming through speech bubbles; and a few other things.) Anyway, because of that, the story didn't really grab me. Sure, there were moments I liked—like the development of Kara’s feelings of being an outsider at school—but regarding the other five girls, I felt their parts of the story were a bit weak, and...

.Jessica ...not knowing how to form your own opinion? Seriously?

Another thing that really bothered me was the art; it isn't ugly, but there are moments when the characters are extremely off-model.

Overall, I'd give it a 6/10; it's obviously nowhere near terrible, but it's not amazing either—IN MY OPINION. If you disagree, that's fine—feel free to leave a comment.

Anyway, thanks for reading all that—let me know what you think.

Which character do you identify with the most?

It's important to remember that it's not necessarily your favorite character, but the one you think is most like you.

I have to admit I'm a mix of Babs and Karen—what about you?
