Wimbledon wrist roll

We finally got some sun on the UK today, so I thought I'd give the Wimbledon some wrist time as it loves to sparkle.

Patek Calatrava broken.

I bought this in Dec for the Mrs, unfortunately it started to lose time this week. On inspection, there is a decorative plate that sits on top of the main movement, which has worked loose.

I have removed this. However, when manually winding, it feels gritty and does not start.

Is this now junk or is there more I can do?

Obviously, I could take to a watch repairer, but the cost would probably outweigh the worth.

I will buy her a new one if I cannot repair this one.

I bought this VSF V2 after spotting one in the wild whilst travelling to work on the tube in London. It really caught the light and my eye and imagination from across the carriage.

When it arrived, I thought, "Wow, it didn't dissapoint, however it just doesn't get much wrist time... I do tend to favour larger watches!

So I thought let's move it on and make room for another....

However, as I started taking pictures for the sale, I decided that I really liked it, so it's staying and is going to get worn.

Does anyone else keep changing their mind?

I've done the same in the past and sold a gen Speedmaster, regretted it, and bought another almost immediately....at my cost.
