Hi everyone, I’m Leo at Time Ultra.

This video provides a comprehensive comparison between the VS Factory and OR Factory Omega Seamaster 300, highlighting the differences and similarities in finishing, materials, and movement construction.

Exterior Finishing

Both factories follow the genuine watch's construction for the lume markers, using luminous material sealed beneath a glass cap rather than applying lume directly to the dial. The crystal on both versions is a sapphire crystal with a subtle blue anti-reflective coating. The ceramic bezel, crystal clarity, and overall finishing are virtually identical in appearance and feel.

Dial Material & Durability

After disassembling the watches for closer inspection, both the VSF and ORF versions were confirmed to use genuine ceramic dials with no cost-cutting in materials. Durability testing showed excellent scratch resistance, demonstrating the hardness and quality expected from a ceramic dial.

Dial Printing Difference

The most noticeable visual difference is the color of the red dial text. The VS Factory version uses a brighter red tone, while the OR Factory version features a darker burgundy-red shade. Aside from this color variation, the date window, hands, and hour markers are nearly identical.

Movement Comparison

The key difference lies in the movement.

VS Factory uses the Dandong 8800 movement.

OR Factory uses a Shanghai-based clone 8800 movement.

There are two primary distinctions:

1. The Shanghai 8800 features perlage finishing above the balance wheel, while the Dandong 8800 does not.

2. The Shanghai 8800 uses the latest ceramic ball bearing rotor system, matching the genuine Omega specification, whereas the Dandong 8800 uses a conventional bearing material.

Sometimes automatic movements may arrive stopped during shipping, which is completely normal. Most of the time, the watch simply needs to be properly wound and worn for it to naturally build power reserve and start running smoothly again.

All pieces are checked before shipping, but once protective plastics/films are removed, I unfortunately can’t accept returns anymore since the watch is considered used at that point.
