I just picked up this black sailcloth strap for my 35mm Santos. When I bought the strap I opted for it to include a new buckle which turned out to look exactly like the buckle that came with the tan leather strap that was included with my watch. The strap was just delivered today so I have no opinion on how durable it might be, but I am impressed with both the quality of the strap and the quality of the quick releases. They fit my watch very well. I think the strap looks great with my white dial Santos and will also look good on my blue dial 35mm Santos.

I have read about the VSF free sprung “looking” movements, and this new review on RWI does a great job explaining it and showing it. This is not a free sprung movement; rather, it is a traditional regulated movement with the stud and pins hidden under the bridge so the movement looks free sprung. This makes it exponentially more complicated to regulate that movement, simply to mimic the look of a free sprung movement. Seems to me like a pointless exercise, especially since these movements are in watches with closed casebacks. What do you think of this move by VSF?

I bought this watch on May 31 and it was just delivered to me here in the US today. I heard when I bought it that BVF was taking a break from building new Santos watches and I am glad that they built some of these medium blue dial watches when they did their latest batch. I have owned a 35mm white dial Santos for a while and I like it a lot, which is why I bought this blue dial.

Yesterday I received a 41mm Jubilee Motif dial OP from Travis in the US just 10 days after ordering it from him on WhatsApp. There is a spot waiting for it in my watch box next to my Celebration dial OP. 😆
