Rolex 116610 Factory/Version Identification

Hi All

I have had this Rolex in my possession for a good few years, perhaps 10 or more and I'm trying to identify the factory and version number.

It was purchased from a TD on Repgeek and seem to recall it's a noob factory

The clasp code is PJ1 and serial numbers etc are in the pictures. I'm looking to part ways with it and wanted to identify the factory so I can be honest to whomever it goes

Thanks in advance

NH35 vs Miyota 9015 vs ETA 2824-2 vs Sellita SW200 — full movement comparison for mods

Put together a buying guide comparing the four movements that come up most in mod builds. Here's the TL;DR:

NH35A — 21,600 bph · +10/-15 s/day · $28–50 · Best for: beginners

Miyota 9015 — 28,800 bph · +/-10 s/day · $55–90 · Best for: intermediate builds

ETA 2824-2 — 28,800 bph · +/-4–12 s/day · $130–220 · Best for: premium/collector

Sellita SW200 — 28,800 bph · +/-5–12 s/day · $90–145 · Best for: Swiss quality without the ETA premium

All four have hacking and hand-winding. The jump from NH35 to Miyota 9015 is the most cost-effective accuracy upgrade. ETA vs Sellita is mostly a brand preference call — the movements are near-identical.

ZF 15202st bracelet and case refinishing

Hey guys I have this ZF 15202 I was wanting to do an entire watch refinishing to get the overall watch closer to Gen or Atleast better than what ZF offers. But want to know if it is recommended or is it better to have a professional I kinda have an idea of what I need to do. But considering there isn’t much Information or videos on the materials I will need. To undertake this. I want to know if anyone can point me the right direction

Built a Royal Oak mod after the Swatch x AP Royal Pop sold out — here's how I did it (NH35, ~$200)

Like a lot of you, I was watching the Royal Pop launch last week and thinking:

that octagonal bezel and tapisserie dial look incredible — but I want it on my wrist,

not hanging from a lanyard.

So I built one. NH35 movement, Royal Oak-inspired 40mm case, blue grande tapisserie dial,

gold hands, integrated steel bracelet. Total cost: around $200 depending on where you source.

The build is straightforward if you've done a Seiko mod before, but there are a few

gotchas — especially around the integrated bracelet attachment and the octagonal crystal

press-fit. The bezel screws look great but are purely decorative on most aftermarket cases,

so don't try to unscrew them.

A few things I'd highlight for anyone planning this build:

• The NH35 is the right choice here — 28.5mm diameter fits the case perfectly,

hacking + hand-winding both work, and you can find them for $38–55.

• The tapisserie effect on aftermarket dials is surprisingly good if you source

carefully. Look for 'grande tapisserie' in the listing and check close-up photos.

• Integrated bracelets are trickier than a standard lug setup — give yourself

extra time and a fine-tipped spring bar tool.

• O-rings: always replace them. The crystal gasket and caseback gasket both matter

for basic splash resistance.

I wrote up the full build guide on my site — parts list, step-by-step assembly,

waterproofing notes, and a FAQ. Link below if you're thinking of doing this build.

Happy to answer questions in the comments.

Hour hand not aligned to the hour

Hi all,

I had this issue when I was setting the hour hand by pulling the crown, and I think I went counter clockwise or something, now the hour hand is not aligned to the hour marks, even when the minute hand is at 12 o clock. Any advice how to repair this issue?

CF PEPSI may 2026, what do you think? how I fix the issue problems?

I just received my CF Pepsi watch and it arrived with a scratched and, I think, cracked bezel. The triangle is faded and the bezel feels loose. I also think the bezel click is too loud. What do you think? How do I fix this problem? I'm mainly concerned about the side-to-side movement of the bezel, as if it's loose.

Dear USPS Scum may someone also steal your package

I had made a post asking if people have dead or unfixable watches lying around, that I could use to work on movements.

The ones that would’ve or already have been thrown in the garbage could be useful for me and I can learn about fixing different parts on a watch

One guy reached out and sent me a ZF Seamaster 300 and, I can’t be thankful enough for that dude I hope the best for him, when receiving the package from the post office I found out the package had been torn open and it was empty

Now I know I can’t really file for insurance since you all know why dealing with reps and all

I’m just so bummed I was waiting for it and was so excited about it and someone just stole it

My heart literally sank like when you’re tracking and tracking and you find out this happened

This sucks

If anyone has some dead watches hit me up

Help with a running chronograph

First time posting here, so sorry if this is not the right place. I’m running short on ideas!

Recently purchased a APSF Code 11.59 chrono from a TD, (no names yet) but the 9 o’clock subdial for the chronograph won’t stop running. It acts more like a minute hand. From what I have gathered, this is a common issue with the movements and may be caused by a weak hammer.

My local watch smiths won’t touch this as they have no idea which movement was used and whether they can get replacement pieces and probably some liability stuff too.

Are there any shops that I can send this piece in for repairs? The TD said they would pay for reasonable costs associated with the repair so they are trying to make it right.

Thanks!

Tiffany 36mm DJ HKPT5000 Rafflea

After months of frustration using st2130 movements I finally found a seller who sells genuine HK PT5000s and this build went together with non issue.

Going to use my dremel to polish the bezel down a bit but im happy with it.

[MKS Tudor date-day]Cheddar cheese bezel

Just received this nice looking two tone day date but I think the bezel isn’t a great tone. Anyone successfully dulled down the cheese factor on bezels? There is a polish but I can’t remember the name.

Need a QC check after reattaching the 9 hour marker.

The 9 o’clock marker randomly fell off the dial, so I opened the watch up and glued it back on myself. Now I’ve been staring at it for so long that I honestly can’t tell anymore if it’s straight or slightly crooked.

Would appreciate some fresh eyes on it:

- Does the 9 marker look aligned?
- Is it straight relative to the other markers/text?
- Anything else look off?

Loose Screw Inside My VSF Omega Caseback Won’t Open, Need Advice

Hi guys,
I have a loose screw inside my VSF Omega De Ville Prestige CoAxial Chronometer. The watch is 6 months old and worn maybe 25 days total. Im not sure what the movement inside is called. The watch is still keeping time correctly, but the rotor keeps hitting a loose screw and making a loud noise whenever I move my wrist. The screw appears to be trapped between the movement and the glass case back.
I’ve tried multiple times to remove the case back using the rubber ball from my watch repair kit, but it won’t budge. I also don’t see any visible notches or screws on the back, so I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or if I just don’t have enough force to open it.
I’ve also read that some Omega watches are opened from the front instead of the back. Can anyone advise on the correct way to access the movement?
