How would an Oda Nobunaga in Jon's body post-mutiny fare? The situation at the starting point goes like this:

1. Nobunaga wakes up to resurrected Jon, realises he committed seppuku only to wake up. But the place, faces, clothes, language, people, everything is different.

2. He realises he is called a different name, and there is a strange red woman following her, calling him strange names. Names he has never heard in any religion in Japan.

3. He realises he is in a position of power, yet it is useless, as Jon's memory tells him that this post has nothing to do with kingdoms.

4. He realises the original owner of his body(Jon) also went through a mutiny and was backstabbed, unlike him.

Literally the best web series I watched after Game of thrones Season 1-4. I actually felt the same adrenaline when I read the hype moments in the books.

When jon commanded night's Watch to keep mance ryder at bay(In books and show) , I felt goosebumps. Or when jaime "selfish prick" Lannister dropped into the bear pitt to save brienne.

I Got the same if not more when I watched A knight of Seven kingdoms.

All of these male leads are perfect, like too perfect. Or completely toxic. There is no in-between. All of them have excellent capabilities to hold emotions perfectly, have a great body and look handsome. Like they are built to play some prince charming without a blemish; this is just a gender flip of female leads made for the male gaze in media.

You can say that the female gaze is not harmful, but it is. It is creating this mental image of an ideal male who is perfect, has no self-respect, and has no individual goals; even if they did, they are undermined. Their only goal is to support the female lead, who has self-respect and individual goals.

It feels like they have no right to feel anger, disappointment, irritation when it comes to the female lead and their relationship. If they do, it is portrayed as a bad thing.
