Finished H. pylori treatment recently and now tested positive for C. difficile infection (C. diff). I’m still on omeprazole because of a stomach/duodenal ulcer with ongoing burning.

I’m unsure what to do next should I continue the PPI or can it worsen C. diff?

Hi everyone,

I recently completed H. pylori treatment with omeprazole, amoxicillin, and clarithromycin. Since then, I’ve been dealing with what feels like worsening stomach/duodenal ulcers.

Current symptoms:

* Burning pain during eating and between meals

* Gradually increasing intensity

* Nausea (no vomiting)

* Worse with spicy or oily foods

* No visible blood in stool

This started after finishing antibiotics, and it’s been around 2 weeks now.

if anyone has recovered from similar post-treatment ulcers, what worked for you?

I’d appreciate practical advice—especially on healing the gut lining and reducing the burning.
